Oh man, I bought 4 of the coolest fishies, and thankfully they only cost me $9 apiece.
These are the Scarlet Gem Badis.
A peaceful little community fish that won't grow really more than an inch. And they look just like a cichlid, which are much meaner fish, but without the mean. :)
Here's a photo from the site I got them from:

Problem is, pictures are deceiving. Not sure what I was thinking... anyway, they are MUCH smaller than the photos. They are about 1/4" and no more!! When I put them in the tank eventually, the Tetra's and Gourami's started checking them out and kinda nipping at them. They too are small, but not that small, but not enough to be swallowing them. But they will either stress them to death, or nip them to death. I'm hoping they will quickly realize that they are not food and leave them alone, and they will grow. But it's also possible they all disappear by tomorrow. :(
Here is one on the side of my tank:

Here is the same one with now a catfish beneath him. They won't bug them at all, but look at he size difference! The catfish is all of about an inch big or so.

And look at this one, and they are all the same size... this one is in the back of the tank, right near the air stone and heater. You can barely make him out except for in the reflection of the glass. The dang gravel I use is about the same size as them or larger!!
