An earthquake. A failed aeroplane flight. A missile attack .... yes, very busy.
Has America perfected an earthquake-inducing device ? It'd be nice to think so.
Perhaps America should 'kindly' offer to send a team in, to ensure that 'all is OK' at the nuclear plant ? Then report back to the American authorities on all they'd seen ?

Divine intervention certainly occurred to me, Tyr. A very welcome thought. ;)

GW Bush kept the Earthquake Generator next to the Hurricane Director, that he used to direct Katrina into New Orleans, in the basement of the White House. The neocons must have stumbled onto it when Bolton was on staff. As far as the Ukrainian aircraft, unknown mechanical failure at 8,000 ft? Sounds to me like a wayward missile headed for Iraq locked onto the wrong target.
