Why Would Anyone Want To Have a Kid Right Now?

Just saw a story on the news about a DOZEN new sets of twins that were delivered at a Kansas City hospital, and just wondered, why on earth would anyone want to be having kids right now?

I wouldn't. I think the direction the world is headed is straight down the toilet, and I wouldn't condemn a life to have to suffer through it.
