Diploma covering all needed aspects of life from JFK HS, NJ

Honorary degree I awarded myself for putting up with a year at Kean College in NJ.

Certificate in CR&R (computer repair & robotics) from Cittone Institue. Was a 3 year curriculum which I thought was the 'quick and easy' way to get started in my IT career without the hassle of college.

Honorary degree I awarded myself yet again for risking my life nightly to go to St. John's University in Jamaica, NY. For those that don't know, while a beautiful and extremely high rated institution, it's dropped in the middle of a crime ridden cesspool.

Lifetime achievement award for working amongst lawyers for many years and tending to their IT needs. I believe I also deserved a purple heart for the years of suffering I endured as well, but sadly the bastards held me in contempt instead and gave me a dishonorable discharge.

I've also been married for 13 years now. I deserve some sort of medal for that abuse as well, but instead all I got was therapy.

Things work a little differently in Canada. With few exceptions, you can only receive a certificate or diploma in whatever it is you study in college. I took Accounting after highschool, so I have a diploma in Business Accounting. Presently, I'm working on a BA in Geography with a Minor in Technology, Society and Environmental Studies.

Oh, and Gabby, what area are you planning to specialize and what's subject does your thesis involve?

I have to agree. diplomas dont mean anything in the long run. I knew quite a number of people in law school who really shouldnt have made it. I had to peer edit this one guys research paper. He had no sources and I swear one of the paragraphs was two pages long. i wasnt able to read it through all the way. i just had to rip it up mechanically.

One good thing about law school, I got anal about how I write.

I teach in the areas of theory and practice in education and research methods.

I am currently supervising a number of Ph.D and professional doctorate (Ed.D) students interested in whiteness, issues of culture and race, and social justice.

.................. I am particularly interested in using whiteness as a theoretical tool to understand the nature of racialised discourse in theory building and policy making.

This is the sort of thing that drove me up the wall (white or otherwise).

But studying law I mean. I couldn't study a law degree because so much of it isn't relevant to my needs or my interests. I did study some electives (contract, tort, labour law) which were very useful for me but no way would I be able to study law and practise it, I don't have the mind for mastery of detail and application of those skills. I used to watch my ex working when she brought files home at night and weekend and I wouldn't have the concentration.

Nothing yet. Probably go into something related to health sciences. The plan right now is to get into the 4 year nursing program at the university of louisville after I graduate HS this year. If I can get an ROTC scholarship that'll pay for some/most of it I'll do that too and go into the army nursing corp for awile after I graduate.

College....... ewwww, my time in college was like "Animal House" without the frats. I majored in girls, drugs, and Architecture. I had a transexual for a design prof., before and after the surgery. I was flunked for asking a English Lit. prof. if he was Al Hirt's brother, he was and had a real problem with his success..... he let me continue with the class for the rest of the semester and still flagged me. I told my 4th year design prof. that he was a "fucking asswipe loser" in front of the whole class, he flunked me. I went to summer school to make it up and then in a drunken rage one night, hit some 6 iron shots into one of the buildings on campus at 3 in the morning (it was fun hearing the glass shattering)and then went into my studio and broke a hole in the wall with too close a cropping of 22 caliber shots(I was shooting at a caricature of a guy my girlfriend dumped me for). I was thrown out a couple of days later when snitched on by the guy that had the studio next to mine, he came in the day after and found a map that was on the wall with a hole blown through it. He found the copper hollow point imbedded in his stool leg and called campus police...... they weren't happy with me. I had had a run in with them a few years before when they were called about the smell of a dead animal in my studio by my classmates...... they broke in and found a very live red fox, my pet Lindbergh, he had a territorial piss that smelled like skunk spray so the other guys were a bit angry with me and him. When they tore down the building years later it still smelled..:laugh2: Did I mention that I broke into a prof. office late one night and pissed on his desk? I later grafitied up the door with something that would make it seem it was done by some guys from second year.... it worked.:laugh2:

I went back after working for a few years because I had enough hours for a BA in math if I could get through 2 courses and a PE....... I couldn't put up with the professors and blew it off. Once you get into the real world and see how very little you actually learn in college..... and you see what a bunch of privileged, tenured dickheads the professors are, it's hard to go back at a later age and put up with it.

AA in Electrical Engineering... only 'degree' I have. I have other diplomas from trade schools and military training, along with many certificates of other training. Seems like I've been in one form of classes or another much of my life. And even with it all, the most money I ever made in my life was driving long haul, OTR semi truck as a teem. Depending on how light the load was and how fast we could cover ground, fewer stops, some weeks would be $4,000+ take home... but I hated it, and my co-driver finally fell asleep at the wheel one night in western Texas on interstate 10 and rolled the semi. Thought I was going to die, got a little banged up. That was the end of that. The funnest thing I ever did was I owned a small business called the 'House Doctor' back in Wisconsin. Had one full time employee and two part time, depending on which one I could find sober enough to work. I like construction type jobs, building, repairing and fabrication, and being my own boss was outstanding. I wound up getting extremely busy and was looking at the business growing by leaps and bounds and the money was very good, but, then it was turning into more than I wanted. It wasn't fun anymore. It was more than I could manage with the amount of work I had, so when a job came up working for the State of Wisconsin with great benefits, I took it.

But three days before I was to graduate, I took my CL 350 Honda with drag pipes on it and drove it through the halls of the school with people having to dive out of my way to avoid being run over. That was fun. Especially when I came to the sawed off little fucks room, Mr. Rice, who though he was the toughest cock sucker in seven states, was the football couch, but I when I went passed him, I stuck out my fist and belted him one right on the chin as he tried to pull me off my bike. He went down, I stayed on, man that was liberating. Got a permanent ban to never set foot on H.S. ground again, but they still signed my diploma. They did NOT want me back.
