Never mind everything else for a moment - IMO, there is no doubt that THIS should happen, and quickly. And while it's not gonna happen, IMO it should also get support from the left.

Kevin McCarthy Signs Resolution to Censure ‘Lying’ Adam Schiff
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced Wednesday that he has signed a resolution to censure House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) for performing a fabricated conversation between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a recent hearing.
“Chairman Adam Schiff has been lying to the American people for years. Now he is so desperate to damage the president that he literally made up a false version of a phone call,” McCarthy wrote on Twitter. “Enough is enough. I have signed a resolution to censure Schiff in the House of Representatives.”

On Friday, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) introduced a motion to condemn and censure Schiff for performing the fake conversation, saying in a statement that the stunt was “inexcusable” to “mislead the American public with such a statement.”
Although the White House last week released a transcript of the Trump-Zelensky call, Schiff made-up his own transcript that he read ahead of the testimony of acting DNI chief Joseph Maguire in which he accused the president of engaging in quid pro quo with the intent of exchanging U.S. military aid to Ukraine for an investigation into Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President and 2020 White House hopeful Joe Biden.

So that means what Schiff did was just fine right? You support what Schiff did? Of course, because again you chose that route, and to go after someone else instead.
Pretty pathetic even from you to support this crap.

Petey if you just once would have the personal integrity to call out a Democrat for ANY of their wrong doing, or once to say "hey come on now, this complaint is ridiculous" someone , anyone might take you seriously, but you're a joke. Even Whoopie Goldberg has recently had the integrity to come out and say "no now you people aren't acting right, we don't do that in this country" but not Petey, he has zero integrity.

I agree with this one too. I think removal from the committee should happen, at a minimum. I would hope more, but I doubt anything happens. Basically, this man has now been busted several times trying to undermine and setup the president of the USA for crimes he didn't commit.

Minority Leader McCarthy Calls for Schiff's Removal as Chairman; 'Lies and Deceit'
(CNSNews.com) - House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Wednesday joined the Republican effort to censure House intelligence committee Chairman Adam Schiff for lying to the American people. And McCarthy also wants Schiff removed as chairman of the intelligence committee, which is now heading the Democrats' "impeachment inquiry."
Calls to ditch Schiff intensified following a New York Times report saying that Schiff learned about the "outlines" of the whistleblower's complaint "days before" it was filed, something he did not disclose.
"Every time they have attempted a coup, there's been one common denominator – the lies and deceit of Adam Schiff," McCarthy told Fox News's Laura Ingraham.
"He is now, as you know, a fact witness, and nowhere in our justice system allows a fact witness to be the prosecutor. He needs to recuse himself today, and the Speaker needs to remove him as the chairman of one of our most sensitive committees that we have -- the intel committee."
According to the New York Times:
The C.I.A. officer (the whistleblower) approached a House Intelligence Committee aide with his concerns about Mr. Trump only after he had had a colleague first convey them to the C.I.A.’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that initial avenue for airing his allegations through the C.I.A. was unfolding, the officer then approached the House aide. In both cases, the original accusation was vague.
The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the officer find a lawyer to advise him and meet with an inspector general, with whom he could file a whistle-blower complaint. The aide shared some of what the officer conveyed to Mr. Schiff. The aide did not share the whistle-blower’s identity with Mr. Schiff, an official said.
Two weeks ago, Schiff said, "We have not spoken directly to the whistleblower." Schiff never said that one of his Democrat staffers had spoken to the complainant and helped him find a lawyer -- a lawyer with ties to anti-Trump Democrats, of course.
The Times quoted a Schiff spokesman as saying, "Like other whistle-blowers have done before and since under Republican and Democratic-controlled committees, the whistle-blower contacted the (intelligence) committee for guidance on how to report possible wrongdoing within the jurisdiction of the intelligence community.”
Now McCarthy says censuring Schiff is not enough:
"He should be removed from the chairmanship of the Intel committee, and one person makes that decision, the Speaker of the House." McCarthy said he first requested Schiff’s removal in March, for lying about having “proof” that Trump had colluded with Russia, even before the Mueller report came out -- and found no proof.

This is what Pete stands for and always refuses to condemn. This is how the Dems always operate. So many liars and hypocrites and it falls on down to their supporters. But no matter the amount of proof that comes out, the supporters like Pete couldn't care less. Always "Dems over country, Dems over everything, Dems above the law".

Former NSC Chief Of Staff: Schiff ‘Broke’ Rules, ‘Should Recuse Himself From This Impeachment Inquiry’
Former CIA officer and National Security Council Chief of Staff Fred Fleitz tweeted Tuesday that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff “broke committee rules” and “should recuse himself” from any impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.
“The NYT confirmed what I said last week: Schiff knew about the CIA whistleblower in advance … At a minimum, Schiff should recuse himself from this impeachment inquiry,” Fleitz tweeted.
1/ The NYT confirmed what I said last week: Schiff knew about the CIA whistleblower in advance — way in advance. Before he even filed his complaint. This is a much bigger scandal that people realize. At a minimum, Schiff should recuse himself from this impeachment inquiry.
— Fred Fleitz (@FredFleitz) October 2, 2019
Fleitz was referring to a New York Times story reporting that California Democratic Rep. Schiff had prior knowledge of the whistleblower’s declassified complaint.
The former NSC chief of staff said Schiff is guilty of breaking Intelligence Committee rules by not sharing the whistleblower complaint with Republican members of the body because “classified info brought to the committee from outside sources MUST BE SHARED WITH BOTH SIDES.”
6/ And here’s the kicker (@Susan_Hennessey &@MiekeEoyang pay attention): under @HouseIntelComm rules, any classified info brought to the committee from outside sources MUST BE SHARED WITH BOTH SIDES. Schiff broke committee rules by not telling committee GOP members about this.

Schiff has acted very unprofessionally in both the Russian inquiries and now Ukraine. He is not impartial, in fact he has passed judgement without facts. Then again, he's had information he hid from others.

The fact that he lied about having evidence himself about Trump and Russia - that should get him tossed somehow. Then this call, and faking it in front of America. And now finding out that he was contacted and knew about this ahead of time. He is 100% wrong if so, and again, if found true he should be history. I am no expert so I don't know about any crimes potentially, but we definitely don't need someone like this in congress.

Something has to be done about this. We can't continue on this way , where the fucking Chair of the House Intelligence Committee just lies and acts as deceitfully as possible to undo an election? It isn't right, and it just makes me sick that so many Americans are fine with it because "orange man bad"
Schiff is a traitor to this country, and I don't use that term lightly. I don't consider anyone else involved in this mess to be a traitor, but Schiff is.
At a mimimum he should lose his Chairmanship and seat on the Committee.

There were definitely others who behaved badly, and probably committed other crimes, but treason is a very specific crime. I believe Schiff committed treason and should be tried and get the death penalty if found guilty.

Schiff: Hey, Sorry For Fibbing About Not Being In Contact With The Whistleblower; Update: Pelosi Defends Schiff ‘Parody’

It takes a fair bit of digging into this Daily Beast article (https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-plan-to-save-his-presidency-take-a-hatchet-to-adam-schiff) to get to Adam Schiff’s attempt to backpedal from being caught in a series of prevarications. The article’s headline emphasizes that Donald Trump had decided to “take a hatchet to Adam Schiff,” and talks about Trump’s strategy to make the House Intel chair the issue. However, Schiff’s admission that he’d taken a hatchet to the truth first only emerges in the eighth paragraph, despite being an apparent exclusive for TDB:
Schiff had previously denied that his staff had contact with the whistleblower before the complaint was flagged for them by the Intelligence Community’s Inspector General. On Wednesday, he said that he did not know definitively at the time if the complaint had been authored by the same whistleblower who had approached his staff. But he acknowledged that he “should have been much more clear.”
“We try not to confirm when people have come in. I was really thinking along the lines of wanting to get him to come in to testify,” Schiff told The Daily Beast. “I regret that I wasn’t much more clear.”
Such nuance is unlikely to win converts inside the White House where anger among senior staff seems to be firmly directed at the congressman and driven by a belief that his inaccuracies are covered more sympathetically than the president’s. One senior aide even proclaimed that Trump was “far more focused” on Schiff than he was on the identity of the whistleblower himself.
Such nuance is actually not all that nuanced (https://hotair.com/archives/john-s-2/2019/10/02/adam-schiff-learned-whistleblower-complaint-advance/) at all. The New York Times article reports clearly enough that it wasn’t a question of timing for the appearance. The whistleblower worked with the committee to formalize the complaint, and Schiff had knowledge of it long before he acknowledged such:
The Democratic head of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Adam B. Schiff of California, learned about the outlines of a C.I.A. officer’s concerns that President Trump had abused his power days before the officer filed a whistle-blower complaint, according to a spokesman and current and former American officials…
The C.I.A. officer approached a House Intelligence Committee aide with his concerns about Mr. Trump only after he had had a colleague first convey them to the C.I.A.’s top lawyer. Concerned about how that initial avenue for airing his allegations through the C.I.A. was unfolding, the officer then approached the House aide. In both cases, the original accusation was vague.
The House staff member, following the committee’s procedures, suggested the officer find a lawyer to advise him and file a whistle-blower complaint. The aide shared some of what the officer conveyed to Mr. Schiff. The aide did not share the whistle-blower’s identity with Mr. Schiff, an official said.
Therefore, not only did Schiff know that a whistleblower had approached his staff, but that it was the same complaint and therefore the whistleblower.
Another point ignored in the Daily Beast “hatchet” story is the previous two years of context for hatchet work. This isn’t the first time Schiff has lied in public about what he knows and when he did/didn’t know it. Before the release of the Mueller report in April of this year, Schiff repeatedly insisted (https://hotair.com/archives/john-s-2/2019/03/25/cnns-jim-sciutto-dems-unfairly-hang-collusion-allegation-trumps-head/) that “significant evidence (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/09/12/clinton-just-accused-trump-associates-of-collusion-with-russia/?utm_term=.2e031982f347)” existed of Trump’s collusion with Russia (https://hotair.com/archives/john-s-2/2018/03/02/condi-rice-adam-schiff-really-hope-can-wrap/) and that Mueller had already uncovered it. Was all of that “nuance” as well, or does Schiff regret not making himself “more clear” now that Mueller’s report made it all too clear that Schiff was lying about that, too?
It’s legit news that the Trump strategy for fighting impeachment will focus on Schiff’s credibility, of course, even if that’s so obvious a strategy that it’s barely worth highlighting. What seems less legitimate is the use of “hatchet” as a descriptor for Trump’s attacks without even a single mention of Schiff’s prior discredited claims on collusion, as well as this softball mention of Schiff’s attempt to soft-pedal repeated public falsehoods about the nature of the relationship between his committee staff and the whistleblower. One might even call it a hatchet job.
Update: Here’s Nancy Pelosi trying to give Schiff a little cover, but George Stephanopoulos isn’t having it:

Here @SpeakerPelosi (https://twitter.com/SpeakerPelosi) lies and says that @AdamSchiff (https://twitter.com/AdamSchiff) didn’t fabricate Trump’s words when opening the committee hearing with Maguire.
Credit to @GStephanopoulos (https://twitter.com/GStephanopoulos) for pushing back and calling this out.

Also, my friend Jeff Dunetz (http://lidblog.com/) reminds me that this has more significant implications. House Intelligence Committee rules state that any classified material brought to a committee member has to be shared with both sides immediately. Did Schiff do that? If not, why not?

^^ The democrats have quite a history with confidentiality, just in the past few years alone. Pathetic. Schiff knew what he was doing, and broke the rules and should be held accountable.
And Nancy, outright stating that Schiff didn't make up the words that he spouted out about the president. Complete horseshit and continuing with lies. How ANYONE could possibly support this is beyond me. ALL the news agencies should be condemning this and all of them should be pointing out the rules & pointing out that Schiff lied and therefore Pelosi is lying in covering for him.
Add them both to a very long list of democrats involved in various levels of corruption, IMO. Started with the FISA bullshit and who only knows how many involved and how high it went. And then the lies and hypocrisy just snowballed until today. And I hope the lot of them get busted.

Same shit, different shitty Democrat . Remember when that old shit bag Diane Feinstein sat on the bullshit complaint about Kavanaugh for months, she certainly didn't give it to any of the Republicans on the Senate Judicial Committee.
EVERY decision these shit bags make boils down to one thing. "How can this benefit ME?" They don't care about ANYTHING else.
Democrats are the party of scum.
