Have you ever heard of the show... "America Unearthed?" It's a very interesting show, and there's one episode... https://www.travelchannel.com/shows/america-unearthed/episodes/secrets-of-lincolns-assassination that investigates the details of President Lincoln's assassination, and there's evidence that his vice president, Hannibal Hamlin, was in on the it. Just fascinating stuff, and very compelling. Makes you wonder. But history doesn't like to be rewritten, and what people believe disturbed, especially if it involves powerful associations that are still active today.
Oh... and my take on the list of 8 scariest days for America.. IDK... but I think maybe the UFO crash in Roswell, NM back in 1947 might deserve mention.

I would replace Martin Luther King Jr's assasination with May 4 1970
The truth is Martin Luther King Jr was a relatively unknown person to most Americans when he was assassinated and that day didn't scare all that many people.
Some bad reporting and shall we saying hiding of facts certainly led to the news that the National Guard had shot students at Kent State certainly scared quite a few Americans though.
