3 girls: (Ali almost 5), Lily (almost 1), and Emma (1 month-she was 10.11! Now 15.3)
2 boys: Jack (4) and now Liam (2 days now)

Liam is the first for my youngest and his bride. Both my older son and my daughter have 2.

Lindsay was in the hospital for 3 days last week with preeclampsia, so that was a hint of likely premature arrival. Still he scored a 9 on 2nd apgar, so we are very happy. They will keep him an extra day or two in case of more jaundice than normal. His lungs seem good!

I agree with the missing part, oh yeah. I'd planned on trying to get to Chicago this summer, but no way am I getting on a plane. The boys and I are talking about meeting in the middle sometime for a long weekend at a resort for some quality time. We'll see how things are going in a couple of months. Right now, IL is still like locked down. Both boys companies have told them to keep working from home. While they have different positions in different companies, both are in logistics and involved with 'essential services' meaning food/liquor.

So while their companies are open and have people working there, both of the sons are nerds on computers and can work from home. Seems both companies are considering making that a semi-permanent change. More office folks/managers from home.

I'll not be surprised to see schools adopting some of those thoughts. There are 'troubled' kids that seemed to be doing more work on their own from home. Gifted kids that are doing much better than in a classroom. For the majority though, class in person seems the best way and there isn't room for all of them-not with 'social distancing' coming into play.

When my kids were young we were into racing sprint cars so spent a lot of time on the road, in the pits and in the grandstands. My kids got whatever was readily available ... mostly pre-made PBJ, grandstand or drive through food. After racing we switched to team roping and hung around roping arenas with really crappy food. After that it was high school sports. Never time to sit down as a family to eat a good meal.

Thankfully, none of them ever had health issues like food allergies or gluten allergies. I am so thankful I never had to worry about the food I fed them. Plus, lots of exposure to dirt ... dirt everywhere in all the different sports. I think that really helped their immune system.

I had lots of energy but it all went into running my business, night school 3 days per week, team mother, PTA, and various other charities so cooking food was basically after homework and laundry. :laugh:

I was also an academic who read a lot. My daughter used to complain about not getting to hang out with friends at fast food places. Now she is intensely into cooking. I rarely have to make a meal anymore. She collects recipes from everyone. Her pasta dishes, which she got from my college friend's mom in Milan, are remarkable.

Thank you Gabby. I'm from the generation that said we could do it all. Unfortunately that's not true. Something will always have to give somewhere and it was my marriage. While I ran my business, night school, kids activities and charities my marriage was at the bottom of the pile. I raised his 2 sons from previous marriage plus our daughter thinking once they were adults and gone we could focus on each other. Not true. A marriage is like another kid ... needs just as much love and nurturing as a child.

My daughter now has two adult children, one still at home and a grandchild herself. Even though she was a fulltime mom and wife, her daughter says she was a terrible mom as well. It's hard being a mom.

Just a recommendation only.... I personally use imgur - because it allows me for easily right clicking and saving/editing picture. But a bunch do so. And many more options out there for image hosting. I would recommend to anyone to find one that allows for the most storage, stores them for the longest period, allows for ease of use for what you're using it for - and hopefully free if not cheap as hell. I refuse myself because there are so many options out there.

You can find tons of free image hosting and also many 'file hosting', like "Icedrive" which I joined this morn. Free 10gb for joining and you can host images and any other files as well.

They grow too fast. Pardon me please, but I have to agree with Jim on this as well.

Posting family pics on FB can be dangerous as well. There are way too many CRAZIES out there who would stop at nothing to take advantage of everybody who posts any kind of family info or pics on the OUT OF CONTROL FB sewer these days.
Jus my Opinion here. But we have learned the hazards personally over the years with regard to our youngest son's children who posted too much info on FB. Won't go into details but we no longer get to see our grandkids that way anymore.
