Above is the winner's list of the Premier contest that I decided to enter
even tho' I am basically jaded about how the contests are ran at my home poetry site
since several sponsors base their selection upon favoritism and popularity of the poet rather than on
the merits, and quality of the poem entered.
I just received an email notification of my second place win in the first Premier contest
I have ever entered at my poetry site. A win with a poem that I wrote in less than
twenty minutes, with no edits. Below is the new sixteen verse poem that I entered that
morn immediately after composing it...--Tyr
Revelations Of Beguiling Gaze, From The Witch's Head
From dark abyss, many light-years away
witch's head, its beguiling, evil gaze,
yellow-eyed sockets, curses to betray
far more sinister in that blacken haze.
Alas! Its lights gleam in brightest allure.
Leading its lost victims to blindness sure.
She steeped in paganism, its evil spells
spiral coils, deceiving serpent-like trance,
heaving breasts, illusions from distant hell
baits true romantics, by star rays romance.
Alas! Its lights gleam in brightest allure.
Leading its lost victims to blindness sure.
Her reach, into space and far, far beyond
mighty darken surge, her galactic source,
hiding darkness of which devils are fond
to destroy innocent mortals of course.
