UPDATED 1:15 AM PT – Sat. April 20, 2019Florida congressman Matt Gaetz said the Mueller report failed to reveal anything Congress didn’t already know.
In an interview Saturday, the Florida lawmaker said there was largely no reason for the investigation to begin in the first place.
Gaetz, also said the report’s revelations about Russia’s attempted influence on the 2016 campaign, has been well known on Capitol Hill for years.
He also spoke out against the validity of the numerous indictments by Mueller, saying they were mostly for show, and have no legal weight.
Gaetz said if anything, the report shows the U.S. must be prepared for similar influence campaigns in the upcoming presidential election.
