Any kid in school lives within this nation , even if they are illegal immigrant- thus should say the pledge or get the hell out.

I would presume that you also oppose patriotism, you just don’t happen to to oppose your kind of patriotism.

In any case, I think the individual is more important than a state mandated mantra, if you think the mantra is more important then that’s on you.

It says the Pledge with be conducted. It does not force anyone to participate from what I can read.

I think many outside the US don't understand and fully comprehend patriotism - because they don't have it, no reason to, different governments and never have the freedoms we do and how we got to those freedoms.

And likewise that is why we have such a terrible track record when it comes to nation building. We try to impart our form of government on people who have no concept of our idea of national pride and no use for our freedoms. So it never works.
