The DA said the case was closed, so they were therefore OK to now release the files. I'm reading all of it now and it sure as HELL looks like he was guilty in 99 directions. Too bad they held back and not every last tiny bit was released. But between what the other brothers confessed to, and helped them with recovering cell phones & then backtracked a ton of things on CCTV...

CHICAGO POLICE FILES RELEASED on Hate Hoaxer Jussie Smollett Case

CWBChicago filed a Freedom of Information Act request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act on Tuesday March 26th.

This was after the State’s Attorney’s office under Kim Foxx dropped ALL charges against the disgusting hate hoaxer.

CWBChicago released the files today, saying.

These files were provided by the Chicago Police Department in response to a FOIA request that CWBChicago submitted upon learning that the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office had reached a sealed agreement to resolve Smollett’s criminal exposure in the case.

Our requests for video, including bodycam, surveillance, and interrogation, was denied.

This will be very interesting to see how it all plays out from here. This went from a criminal case to a political case overnight.

You have a celebrity charged. Call it conspiracy or whatever, just the facts, but the DA, FOXX, apparently she received about $300k in donations from a Soros group. In comes an Obama aide to assist? Apparently he's already paid his dues via community service to a Jesse Jackson program. He is friends with Michelle Obama. The TV show "Empire" and much of the money involved may change due to this case. I know the ratings dropped severely.

All that evidence, another DA outright stating he was guilty, and yet he walks - and boldly still declares his innocence. And that's just the beginning.

Rahm Emanuel is pissed. The chief of police is pissed. The FBI is already still on the case about the letter he sent himself at the studios. And now likely tons of other authorities are upset due to this 'political decision' which stepped on all of their toes. Hell, other politicians are speaking out against, as are the media.

Something has to give. The FBI, after the last 2 years, can't afford to avoid the law. Hopefully he gets nailed hard for whatever charges they can drum up for those actions. And if it were ME, I would have that DA investigated by the highest levels, and in the mean time appoint someone else to oversee the entire case and make an appropriate decision - which is likely upholding the majority of the felonies he has been charged with.

I think they will release massive FOIA drops like earlier, and you will now see piece by piece evidence dropped to support their case as well. And rightfully so!!

The brothers testified everything to the grand jury. They explained how they were in the car with him days/weeks leading up to the hoax, laying out the scene and what they were all going to do. Nothing huge with these pictures - but I assume they will start with the "conspiracy" to set things in motion, and all 3 defendants devising their plan - and then starting with these photos.

Chicago police have photos of Jussie Smollett in car with Nigerian brothers

The Chicago Police Department (CPD) has photos of the Osundairo brothers driving in a car with Jussie Smollett in the days leading up to the fake attack.

The revelations come as CPD released their investigative files in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

The files were first released by the Chicago area blog CWB Chicago and reviewed by The Daily Caller.


“[One of the Osundairo brothers] was shown 2 large photographs of the vehicle which R/D believed was being driven by Smollett and which [an Osundairo brother] was a passenger in on 25-Jan-2019 and 27-Jan-2019. [An Osundairo brother] identified the photographs as the vehicle belonging to and driven by Smollett.

“[An Osundairo brother] was then shown 2 large photographs of the vehicle which R/D believed was being driven by Smollett and which [an Osundairo brother] was a passenger in on 25-Jan-2019 and 27-Jan-2019. [An Osundairo brother] identified the photographs as the vehicle belonging do and driven by Smollett.”

While their names were blacked out, it is clear from the narrative in the files that the blacked out portions refer to them. Moreover, the same text describing the police showing a photo appears twice, which suggests both brothers were asked about it.

Later on in the file, the records state: “R/D asked [the two Osundairo brothers] the area in which Smollett drove on 27-Jan-2019 after [the two Osundairo brothers] were picked up by Smollett in front of their residence on Ashland Avenue, taking Ashland Avenue to Irving Park Road. Smollett then took Irving Park Road to Lake Shore Drive to the area where the attack would take place.”

A CPD representative declined to comment stating that as of March 27, 2019, per a judge’s order, the department is forbidden from commenting further on the case. The spokesperson said the files reviewed by the Caller were released the previous day before the order was instituted.

The two brothers deny having anything do with the letter sent to the “Empire” set prior to the attack, which is now being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

“Both [Osundairo brothers] stated they had nothing to do with that letter. They were emphatic in their denial,” according to police reports.

The files also show that CPD took great pains to protect Smollett from media attention and other prisoners when he was booked and processed. The arrest was initiated at 5:10 AM, and Smollett refused to answer any questions, according to the police file.

“At no time while on the 001st District was Smollett handcuffed, placed in a cell, or subjected to the media,” the report states.

“R/D and Detective Theis drove Smollett directly to the Cook County Jail, located on 2700 South California Ave in Chicago. R/D hand carried the arrest paperwork for Smollett,” the report states. “R/D contacted Lt. Cintron of the Cook County Sheriff’s Department who allowed R/D, Detective Theis and Smollett to enter the facility via the receiving area. R/D went inside while Det Theis and Smollett waited in the police vehicle. R/D introduced himself to Lt. Cintron who asked if Smollett could wait in the Chicago Police vehicle until the receiving area was free of other prisoners. R/D agreed and at the request of Smollett, asked Lt. Cintron if Smollett could be kept segregated and housed separately until his appearance in bond court. Lt. Cintron stated he would facilitate R/D’s request.”
