New Zealand’s PM describes Christchurch mosque shootings as terrorist attack

SYDNEY, March 15. /TASS/. The two mosque shootings in New Zealand’s city of Christchurch were a terrorist attack, the country’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said at a briefing.

"We believe that 40 people have lost their lives in this act of extreme violence. It is clear that this can now only be described as a terrorist attack," she said, adding that more than 20 injured people had been taken to hospitals.
As for the four suspects who were taken to custody following the attacks, the prime minister said they had not been on any watchlist or known to police.
Ardern also said New Zealand had been placed on its highest security threat level.

Witnesses say around 200 and 300 worshippers were attending prayer services at the mosques, respectively. Police also found and disabled two homemade explosive devices attached to cars parked near the mosques.
The incident killed 40 and left over 20 injured. Four suspects - three men and a woman - were taken to custody. However, police say there were reasons to believe that not all of the attackers had been apprehended.

Sad. There can be no justification for such an attack. The victims were muslims that were not doing anything but praying.
I adamantly disagree with their religion but this cowardly and treacherous attack can not be justified by any means, IMHO.

The guy that did the majority of the killing in one mosque live streamed the shooting on FB and other services. I watched a 12 minute clip and it's as bad as you think. He starts at the entrance, and then walks into a fairly small mosque and ensures no one leaves alive. He speaks here and there narrating as well. And then gets back in his car going somewhere else.

A true nightmare and a true piece of shit scumbag. What I saw no human does. No emotion and just calculated evil. WHY in this day and age we have made it easy for scum like this to get their "manifesto" out and then further speak in court. Just shoot him now.
