And it's not something to celebrate, IMO. Trump has little to no choice as hands are tied, and he needs to protect and move forward. It's not like if he bends they will agree to funding. I admit I'm not a fan of the veto & the fact that he needs to go this route, but I see no alternative given.

GOP lawmakers who voted to terminate Trump’s action voiced concerns not only about presidents circumventing Congress’ appropriations power, but also the prospect of Democratic administrations declaring emergencies on other topics in the future.

You know , I REALLY wouldn't have a problem with a principled stance of "hey we just don't believe ANY President should have this sort of authority" if I thought it mattered in the long run, but I'm sick of Democrats NEVER having principles and Republicans only having principles when it suits them.
