R. Kelly Turns Himself in to Chicago Police

R. Kelly, who was indicted Friday afternoon on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four victims, turned himself in to a Chicago police station on Friday night.

He is set to appear for a bond hearing on Saturday.

The incidents — in which three of the alleged victims were minors — took place between 1998 and 2010. The victims were identified only by their initials in the press conference and legal documents.

The indictment came just days after sex tape reportedly surfaced featuring Kelly engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl, according to CNN and the New Yorker. A grand jury was reportedly convened in the case in Cook County, Illinois, earlier this week, and TMZ reported early Friday that two women had testified.

Kelly has multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against him dating back 25 years, although he has never been convicted. Most recently, two women came forward in a press conference on Thursday, accusing Kelly of misconduct when they were 16 and 15 years old, respectively.

This isn't his first rodeo in the courts with his issue with underage girls. And now we find out allegedly he hooked up with an underage girl while in court proceedings in the past? And now they have footage, although not very credible, with him of another underage girl.

The man can sing, no doubt about that. He can now go sing the blues for the rest of his life. What a loser.

Are we supposed to feel bad that he is now on his 2nd night in jail and can't come up with the money to bond out? Where's all of his rich friends in the industry now? :rolleyes:

R. Kelly Spends Second Night in Jail After Failing to Come Up With Bond Money

R. Kelly failed to come up with the $100,000 bail needed to secure his freedom before the trial, forcing the alleged abuser to spend a second night in jail, according to his lawyer.

On Friday evening, Kelly turned himself into police after he had been charged with 10 counts of felony criminal sexual abuse against four women, three of which were minors. When Kelly arrived at the Leighton Criminal Court building the next day, Judge John Fitzgerald Lyke Jr. called the allegations against the singer "disturbing" and set his bond to $1 million—$250,000 for each of the four indictments.

Kelly's attorney, Steve Greenberg, said that the singer's finances were "a mess." However, he claimed that the defendant will likely have the funds needed to post bail by Sunday, a day before his next scheduled court appearance. "We are very happy with the bond that was set," Greenberg said. "Right now he is presumed innocent."

After Kelly's bail hearing on Saturday, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx stated that prosecutors have DNA evidence in one of the cases the singer was indicted for. Should Kelly be able to deliver the bail, he is not permitted to have any contact with any of the alleged victims, and he must turn in his passport.
