The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but....

....a source of potential danger and conflict. They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge. There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!

Wow.... Iran is not developing nuclear weapons.....

What to make of it? I, for one, think that if anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.... Iran is not one of them.

1. Obama gave 128 Metric tons of Uranium to Iran.

2. Of all Uranium, only 0.7 percent is weapons grade (i.e. U-235). The remainder, U-238, absorbs neutrons and is not fissile.

3. The current method of separating U-235 from U-238 is via centrifuges.... lots of them. Iran has lots of such centrifuges.

4. The critical mass for U-235 is about 52 kg. Do the math, that means they would have enough U235 to make a dozen, or more bombs

5. The remainder of the 128 Metric tons, i.e. U-238, can be transformed via nuclear bombardment into Plutonium-239 (weapons grade Pu).... using breeder reactors. We did the same during the Manhattan Project to build the Fat Man bomb

6. The critical mass of Pu-239 is 10 kg. I don’t have to calculate this to convince you that makes a lot of bombs

7. One could argue that Iran would have to do all these things when creating nuclear reactors for legitimate purposes..... but

Here is where the benefit of the doubt gets factored out

1. Iran has acquired ICBM technology (perhaps to build advanced pizza delivery? I don’t think so)

2. Iran is a state sponsor of Terrorism

3. Iran has threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth..... how would they do that? Perhaps, by using nuclear weapons coupled with ICBM technology?

Yeah... I don’t think Iran can be trusted.....

But just for laughs.... suppose the Trump Administration tried to convince Iran to give up their Uranium for Thorium. A radioactive material that can be used to power nuclear reactors but cannot be used to make Uranium or Plutonium. My bet is that Iran would turn such an offer down cold
