Congresswoman-elect Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), one of the first two Muslim American women elected to Congress, defended former CNN Commentator Marc Lamont Hill on Twitter Thursday after he was fired for an anti-Israel comment.

Hill, a professor at Temple University, spoke at a United Nations event for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Wednesday.

During his remarks, he said countries should boycott Israel and called for a “free Palestine from the river to the sea.” He also argued that "we must recognize the right of an occupied people to defend themselves. We must prioritize peace, but we must not romanticize or fetishize it."

YOU just can't say things like "No ragheads should be allowed to hold public office in the US because their religious belief conflicts with US law and American idealism". I find it ideologically absurd to vote for and let serve in public office a people whose religious beliefs contradict the ideology of this Nation. The left has ZERO excuse good enough for this one. Just like the last one. Just like the next one.
