What in the name of the Lord are you people afraid of?

Truth scares the hell out of you or in you? Whatever happened to "freedom", "liberty", "democracy" or even "truth"?

"Truth" is banning dissent on this board for sure. Sorry, 'lil charlies, I just can't agree with a conversation that is predetermined or accepted as fact due to a particular social predisposition. Seriously, what are you afraid of? Certainly you are not cowering to anyone so lowly as to call himself Psychoblues?

On the issue of "free speech zones" and the rest of it, we're about to experience it. APEC is in Sydney in very short time. Already huge areas of the city will be shut down for the conference and the US requires security provisions for your president. I have to say I can understand the security requirements for him and for the other leaders. I think it would be churlish to criticise those arrangements. I mightn't like Bush's policies but I wouldn't wish him or any of the other APEC leaders harm. Elections are my preferred way of removing politicians.

I think though that there would hell to pay here if demonstrators were told they could only be in a certain area. No problems staying away at a distance from certain areas requiring security but if there was an attempt to corral demonstrators I think our federal government would wear much opprobrium.

Your name, bank account , social security number, phone number, etc. are all truths. Are you afraid of telling these truths to everyone? If so, why?

Do this again, and the ban will be for MORE than 48 hours.
