Submit your own as well!!
You know you're old when....
You get all excited when the Amazon box arrives, and in it awaits a new nose hair trimmer!! :laugh:
You now need 19 cups of coffee to have your bones and joints function.
You have a bag of medicine bottles and a weekly/monthly planner.
You have more than one pair of reading glasses. Or I suppose a pair at all!
----------------
For me, the latest was the trimmer that arrived today. Philips Norelco! Instead of trying to pull one or 2 and yanking like 139 by accident, this little sucker not only trims quietly, quickly and efficiently - but it also doesn't hurt in the slightest.

You start looking longingly at other folks’ grandchildren
A fun Saturday night is early Netflix and a cocktail in bed
You can’t remember what you had for dinner last night
You start avoiding the mirror!

You start looking longingly at other folks’ grandchildren
A fun Saturday night is early Netflix and a cocktail in bed
You can’t remember what you had for dinner last night
You start avoiding the mirror!
You no longer drink fine whiskey, instead you slug down V8 juice
You no longer run a race nor ever have a race to run
You can forget any sexual acrobatics, and your aching back reminds you so
You no longer run with the dogs and your old "dog" oft refuses to "hunt"
You break a sweat just shaving and need at least two hours bed rest to recuperate
You love the silence, even when the kid has music blaring full blast..
Raisin bran replaces steak, egg and cheese or else you have to slug down prune juice just to crap. -- :laugh::laugh: --Tyr
when you have to get up to pee three times a night
9:30 pm is a "late night"
you have more hair growing out of your ears than you do from the top of your head
any temp below 60 degrees requires a sweater

Poem below was written by a truly great poet. One that I read often and admire deeply..-Tyr
When You are Old
by William Butler Yeats
WHEN you are old and gray and full of sleep
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead,
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

Decided to compose a poem on how life changes when one gets really old.
Noted this one reflects the unwanted, the negative aspects and ignores the positives( as they are far fewer)..-Tyr
How Things Change When You Are Old
When you are old, have seen your dreams crumble,
You walk slow, often talk in a mumble,
Your eyes once so bright, are now dull and dim
Fat cries out, you are not young, fit and trim;
Once had quick wit, now you forget to eat
Youthful courage gone, you admit defeat,
Too much time alone and you ponder this
Why dawn's sweetest awakenings you now miss;
Sun starts to set, you trudge towards your bed
You ask if pain, is in your heart or head,
Hoot owl calls, you tell it to shut hell up
You'd make coffee if you could find a cup;
Tomorrow's hope is just another day
Visit the park if you could find which way,
You find pretty gals, do not stir your heart
You think great fun, is a day at Walmart!

... you're body is giving you signs that it's no longer young, but your mind still thinks you're 25.
You no longer drink fine whiskey, instead you slug down V8 juice
You no longer run a race nor ever have a race to run
You can forget any sexual acrobatics, and your aching back reminds you so
You no longer run with the dogs and your old "dog" oft refuses to "hunt"

You love the silence, even when the kid has music blaring full blast..

My friend, great to see you back posting here!
I was taught by my father and grandfather to always welcome a friend's return.
I hope you will stay to post often as we need diversity in cultural, political and more world views from foreign shores.
So Welcome Back! :beer: :beer: -Tyr

The point is that I've NEVER left this forum. I keep on reading it, as I promised when "kissing good-bye". I thought that my opinion may be interesting for you on this subject that seems simple from the first glance, and tried to concentrate it in one word.

A reporter asked Reagan, if he noticed any difference in his life, after being diagnosed with Alzheimer.
His answer, as usual, was typical of Reagan, always smiling, and positive.
He replied...." I have noticed, I make more friends now, after meeting them for the First time!
REMINDER to all of us here. Face it. Eventually. YOU KNOW WHEN YOU ARE OLD. If You are talking about it today, here, with the rest of us Older Folks.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
