It's my understanding that they evacuated before the storm, but someone must have gone back out and replaced the Flag.

They've been using The Frying Pan as a bed & breakfast most recently. I checked their website this morning and it seems that you can now, for $25,000, buy a share and become part owner. This will entitle you to bring a guest with you when you go out to stay.

There were many of them along the Atlantic seaboard, not practical on the West Coast due to water depth.
East coast Continental shelf stretches out as much as 60 miles. West Coast, lucky to see 4 miles.
