In a heated tweet Sunday, the president addressed Iranian President Hassan Rouhani by saying he will suffer consequences unlike anything that’s ever been seen in history.

The remarks come in response to Rouhani’s threat against the U.S., where he warned “the mother of all wars” is possible, adding, the Iranian people are the master and will never bow to anyone.

“Look the president’s responding to Iran and he’s not going to allow them to continue to make threats against America,” she stated. “If anybody is inciting anything, look no further than to Iran (http://www.oann.com/president-trump-to-irans-rouhani-never-ever-threaten-the-u-s-again/#).”
Sanders went on to say the president consults with his national security team on a daily basis and is being very clear on what he will not tolerate from Iran.

I do too, though I think this has more to do with Helsinki conversations than anything else. Ms. Sanders reply was, 'The President can consider more than one issue at a time.'

I've no doubt, he just wants to move the conversation along to something else, hoping that some 'capitalized words' do that sooner than later. :laugh2:

He needs to give himself a rest. I despise Iran and that place is lucky nobody every put me in charge of its existence.

If there is every a country that needs to be stopped from getting nukes, it's one that's full of people willing to "Die for Allah". They don't care if they take the rest of the Earth with them. Choosing between an Earth with no one and an Earth without them is not that hard for me :)

I agree that Iran is going to be a problem, even more than it's been. I hope that they do back down, but not sure they are NK with wobbling mountains ready to spew radioactivity. Though, maybe.

Regardless all this "let's bring democracy to Iran" blather we keep hearing over the years, it won't happen and surely not by us. Iranians are taught from birth to hate the US and we are evil and out to destroy them all, yada, yada, yada. If the Revolutionary Guard were overthrown today we would STILL not be acceptable to the people of Iran. Sure, some may want to modernize and have all the goodies, but they would also want the weapons and we will STILL be the enemy.

Fact is, why should Iran back down? They basically have religious control/majority from Iran to the Med in a straight line. They started out with nothing, and no amount of sanctions has stopped them. Another thing we don't seem to or want to comprehend is we think of every thing in the here and now or the next minute. These people have had a single goal for centuries and regardless setbacks have just started over again and again. Only one thing has every stopped them and that's killing them/driving them back into their holes. They won't quit. They consider us in their religion as evil as we consider them in ours.

I know you like the diplomacy thing but in this instance you have to deal with them in the only manner they understand. Force. Turkey is exactly the same way and will have to be dealt with sooner or later. The longer regimes like this last the stronger they get and the more it costs us in the end to do what we should have done decades ago and take them out.
