UPDATED 8:01 AM PT — Wed. July 4, 2018U.S. gas (http://www.oann.com/high-gas-prices-hurting-u-s-households/#) prices (http://www.oann.com/high-gas-prices-hurting-u-s-households/#) hit a four-year high in 2018 due to the rising price of oil, which has reached new heights.
Recent reports show the average American household will spend $400 more on fuel, and less on other goods and services this year.

Economists say the higher cost of gas could offset a third of the gains from the tax cuts, with low income (http://www.oann.com/high-gas-prices-hurting-u-s-households/#) earners getting hurt the most.
They added, the overall economy is less oil dependent than in the past. This means the high cost will have less of an impact on growth than it would have years ago.
Nevertheless, drivers are paying the highest Independence Day (http://www.oann.com/high-gas-prices-hurting-u-s-households/#) gas prices since 2014.

I already pointed this out last month. Maybe now that the pro-Trump media has noticed it, it will be more important

One of the reason can be the state tax on gas. Pennsylvania has a 50.4% tax. What ticks me off about it is 5% of the gas tax goes to supporting the mass transit systems of the big cities. What the politicians can't answer is why should I, who will never use one of these systems, be forced to support it? My way of thinking is that the cities should either cut their routes or up the fares for the users. I living out in the boondocks I should not have to support the lives of the city dwellers.

I feel the same way about schools.

Why should I be paying huge taxes for schools when I don't have any kids? Let the people with all the kids pay for the school.

Speaking of the gas station and Trump ... 7-11 has a "Donald" pen (looks like one of the old PEZ thingies with Trump' head on it). Almost bought one. Apparently it talks

I don't like shell games/sleight of hand BS being pulled on me like I'm too stupid to get it.
