World Trade Organization Concerned Over Trump Admin. Trade Policies

UPDATED 8:51 AM PT — Wed. July 4, 2018Over 40 World Trade Organization members are warning the Trump administration that U.S. car tariffs could seriously disrupt the world market.
On Tuesday, the EU along with China, Japan and Russia cautioned the U.S. that imposing tariffs on cars and car-parts would harm the American automotive (http://www.oann.com/world-trade-organization-concerned-over-trump-admin-trade-policies/#) industry.
Those statements follow (http://www.oann.com/world-trade-organization-concerned-over-trump-admin-trade-policies/#) the presidents comments about the bloc’s treatment of trade deals (http://www.oann.com/world-trade-organization-concerned-over-trump-admin-trade-policies/#) with the U.S.


Just days ago the president enacted tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, which he said could lead to duties on foreign-made auto parts.
“WTO has treated the Untied States very badly and I hope they change their ways,” stated President Trump. “They have been treating us very badly for many, many years and that’s why we were at a big disadvantage with the WTO, and we’re not planning anything now, but if they don’t treat us properly, we will be doing something.”
Both tariffs on foreign metals (http://www.oann.com/world-trade-organization-concerned-over-trump-admin-trade-policies/#) are reportedly based on concerns about U.S. national security.
The president said a national security study for the new tariffs are set to be completed in three-to-four weeks.

Yeah just bull fucking shit. Period. More like the World has to pay for a failed steel industry that can't compete on the world market fairly.

Wan to renegotiate better deals? Fine. Let's start with things that actually have a basis in reality instead of propping up a loser? And how many times have we argued the left doing things a little at a time until they become the new norm despite grumbling?
