There is so much misinformation recently concerning this immigration issue.
First. WE HAVE Existing LAWS, which should be enforced - NOT ignored a la Obama policy.
Second. In an immigration interview, a potential immigrant must demonstrate that he/she
is trying to escape Political Persecution in the country of origin. That is in the LAW!
Social or economic struggle is NOT recognized as a reason to grant asylum.
Case in point. During the early 1990's, there was a wave of PRC (People's Republic of China)
refugees trying to reach the US West Coast by ship. The Coast Guard would intercept them,
hold them offshore, and bring out Customs interviewers and translators. In one case 256 were held off
the coast just SW of San Diego right off Mexican Territorial Waters. Only 12 of those interviewed were
granted asylum. The rest, the Mexican Navy took ashore at Rosarita, put them on a plane, and sent
them back to China.
That is how the present system is structured. What Obama did was a violation of our LAW and
CONSTITUTION.
