Driving while intoxicated is a major problem in the United States. According to the website, Romans322.com, at the time of this article, on February 23, 2018, more than 4,974 people have died so far in 2018 as a result of driving while intoxicated. Sadly, there have also been over 881 deaths from texting while driving. It’s interesting to me that no one has put forth the idea of blaming auto manufacturers, alcohol producers, or even smartphone manufacturers for the actions of drunk drivers, and distracted drivers. Everyone understands that it’s not the car, or the alcohol, or even the smartphone that caused the death of others…it was the person driving the vehicle.

With all of that in mind, how foolish do you have to be to blame the 58 million members of the American Automobile Association for the actions of a relative handful of people who harm others while behind the wheel of a car. There are over 222 million licensed drivers in America, who drive well over 3 Trillion miles a year.

It's also worth noting that the NRA is not "the gun lobby."

The NRA is a civil rights advocacy group; the NRA-ILA is the NRA's lobbying arm. The NRA does not, and never has, been the advocacy/lobbying arm for the gun manufacturing industry.

There's actually an organization for that: the NSSF (https://www.nssf.org/).

Anti-rights advocates really should take the time to get their facts straight.
