A new report claims the U.S. and Mexico are in talks over a possible asylum agreement.
According to Politico, officials from the two countries started their two-day meeting Thursday to discuss a possible Safe Third Country Agreement.
The proposed deal would mandate that Mexico accommodate migrants from Central America as refugees.
This comes after Department of Homeland Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen (http://www.oann.com/u-s-pushes-mexico-to-accept-asylum-seekers-from-central-america/#) said last month that the so-called “caravan migrants” must claim asylum in the first safe country they reach, which is Mexico.
Additionally, President Trump blasted Mexico for lack of cooperation on border security.
“Mexico does nothing for us, they do nothing for us,” said President Trump. “Mexico talks but they do nothing for us, especially at the border — they certainly don’t help us much on trade, but, especially at the border, they do nothing for us.”
Politico notes Mexico would resist entering such an agreement despite the U.S. striking a similar agreement with Canada in 2002.

Easy solution. We stop them at our border and Mexico is stuck with them whether they like it or not.
Our government needs to get with Israel's on how that border security thingy works.
