Rudy spent a great deal of the day in the news, having a chance to speak to Trump's version and not the various versions of criminals on the left.
---
Giuliani Calls Mueller Probe 'Garbage Investigation,' Comey a 'Disgraceful Liar,' Hillary a 'Criminal'
Former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani pulled out all the stops during his hour-long interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity Wednesday night, calling Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe a "garbage investigation" that was "tainted" and fired FBI director James Comey a "disgraceful liar." He also divulged for the first time that President Trump reimbursed his longtime lawyer Michael Cohen for a $130,000 payment Cohen made to the adult-film actress "Stormy Daniels" before the 2016 U.S. election. "It's going to turn out to be perfectly legal," he assured Hannity.
Guiliani recently joined the president's legal team along with another heavy hitter, the well-regarded defense counsel Emmet Flood.
"America's Mayor" Rudy Giuliani is a longtime friend of the "Bombastic Billionaire" -- and Wednesday night it showed.
"Here's what it's all about -- it's real simple," he said, referring to the Mueller investigation. "Are they objective?" Giuliani told Hannity that from what he can gather, Mueller's team has already decided that "Comey's telling the truth and not the president."
He argued that Trump was well within his rights to fire the FBI director after he refused in interview after interview to let the American people know that the president wasn't under investigation. Giuliani said people shouldn't blame Trump for feeling that he is being mistreated in the Mueller probe.
"This is an outrageous miscarriage of justice," the former mayor said.

Giuliani: Basis of Mueller Case ‘Dead’ — ‘Sessions Should Step in and Close It’
Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to step in with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election and end it.
According to the former New York City mayor, the original basis of the case is dead and is expanding into other things.
“Everybody forgets, the basis of the case is dead,” he said. “Sessions should step in and close it. And say, ‘Enough is enough.'”
Giuliani reiterated his claim that the probe was setting President Donald Trump up for a process crime.
“What they’re really trying to do is trap him in perjury,” Giuliani added. “And we’re not suckers.”

Giuliani Calls For Comey to be Prosecuted For Leaking Classified Information
Trump attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined Sean Hannity Wednesday to discuss the Trump presidency and Mueller witch hunt.
Giuliani called for Comey to be prosecuted and to end the Mueller investigation.
Rudy Giuliani called Comey a disgraceful liar then stated the fired FBI Director should be prosecuted for leaking classified information.

Rudy Giuliani: Comey Is Disgraceful – Pathological Liar, I’m Embarrassed for Hiring Him
Trump attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined Sean Hannity Wednesday to discuss the Trump presidency and Mueller witch hunt.
Rudy Giuliani repeatedly attacked fired FBI chief James Comey.
Rudy told Sean that Comey wsa a disgraceful liar, a pathological liar. He then told Hannity he was embarrassed for ever hiring James Comey.
Rudy Giuliani: Mueller investigation is “totally tainted” because Comey “seems to be the core of their investigation” and he’s “a disgraceful liar.”

I've been reading 2 schools of thought on what he daid about the Stormy payback.
Giuliani went off on his own, so Trump isn't caught with campaign finance problems. The problem being he said he knew nothing about it, BUT that was to press, not under oath.
The other is the attorneys are concerned that Cohen has already told, so better to take the hit now..

With twitter posts and everything else fought in the media - I believe Rudy decided to take control of this matter before it had a chance to get any worse than it already is. So long as not tied somehow to the campaign money, then all should be cool, other than appearances of course.

So more overreaching between attorney/client privilege.
No popcorn necessary, because as usual they will end up with nothing more than themselves in the news. Just like the other 10,000 accusations, it will amount to nothing, nada, zilch, zero. Just like the entire investigation on Russian collusion.
Nothing to smear, everything done by the FBI and a few former folks in the DOJ, is simply a matter of record and factual. Comey and his lying is being proven via nothing more than his own words.
Funny that you speak up when someone on the right defends themselves, but til this date, in your years and years here on the board, you are yet to appear here to condemn any proven wrongdoing by your heroes on the left. EVERY member on this board has discussed and debated endless things about various members of the republican party. In fact, it's a daily event. And of course also daily, is showing the endless wrongdoings from the left. But you? Crickets - unless you think you have a story, which you never do.
So how many things have you come running here to post about, thinking you finally nailed Trump on something? Since you've yet to be correct even one time...

Oh, and not only ignoring any wrongdoing from the left, but also ignore any attempts to get feedback from you by even pete311 with your name, and a post with no personal funny business. You just go out of your way to avoid a lot of things. I don't blame you though.

If it's anything between Trump and Cohen, it's covered under privilege. If they are investigating Cohen himself, they can get warrants and such, but they can't touch privilege. In other words, nothing they 'could' find could be used against Trump.

"we" rationalize it away? :coffee:
We can't make what Mueller is investigating go away, nor the IC results. We can discuss, but the FACTS are, nothing has been found and charged, nothing, to your dismay, and contrary to the endless gotcha posts. But it's entertaining!

hmmm not so sure, I was listening to some politics podcast where an ex FBI agent was being interviewed and he said any crimes found while investigating another crime can be investigated. For example if you bust in a drug house for drugs and find 3 under age women chained up in the basement, you don't look the other way.
Here is what the national review says about the situation of client attorney privilege

Yeah, but they didn't find Trump with someone tied up, did they?
If a WARRANT has something SPECIFIC they are able to obtain, then:
"if the client was in the process of committing or intended to commit a crime or fraudulent act, and the client communicated with the lawyer with intent to further the crime or fraud, or to cover it up."
And even then, they would have come across something now, and now they would still need to get around the privilege, which by no means is an easy task.

pete is consistent, that is for sure. He never recognizes full-fledged violations of the law executed by liberals, but
beats the base drum when a Conservative is wrongly put in the spotlight.
And little pete had the nerve to call me 'un-american' in a reputation comment.

That is a plain-sight doctrine example that can be enforced on the spot. No warrant is needed in plain-sight discoveries.
The USCG regularly invokes 'plain sight' when conducting boardings, as do domestic LE agencies.
You are confusing and combining two entirely different scenarios in a effort to create a furor. I see through

Looks like you were wrong and too quick on this one again, not that it's entirely your fault.

UPDATE: NBC News retracted its exclusive story alleging that Michael Cohen’s phones were being wiretapped. According to the network, Cohen’s phones were being “monitored” by a pen register, not a wiretap. Pen registers capture “to and from” calling and texting information, but not the content.

You overestimate yourself.
You've admitted that you troll here. No one takes a troll seriously.
But you do provide a convenient chew toy, and I will be the first to admit, that's a good thing.
As has happened before, a notorious troll PM'd Jim to apologize for his appalling trolling after joining the Miltary. He was in it for the lulz, but he - as you - believed the self defeating liberal dogma of anti-America rhetoric until he joined the military. He is mortified now with his statements on this board.
Fortunately for America, he serves and quickly realized the folly of his ways.
There is something inherently wrong with a soft liberal boy enjoying all the fruits of hard struggle, badmouthing those that have given him the greatest country on earth. And, indeed, trying to change this wonderful country into a proven loser of socialist intent when our country is indisputably the greatest on earth.
Suggest you report for Basic. Any basic. Your drill instructor will make an American out of you instead of a Soy Boy rolling in a Honda Civic too afraid of telling the cops that you got a paint gun pointed at you.
The funny thing about your ideology is that it was created and funded by the KGB in the Cold War, during the Vietnam War. To this day, it remains wildly successful with almost half of Americans blindly voting against their self interests, all democrats. But if we look back in history, your misguided ideals are always flawed and it ends in disaster for everyone concerned.
Or, we can look to present day Venezuela. How's that Utopia working out, Pete? Yeah, you socialists don't want to talk about that. The neighboring countries do, though... they don't want any more refugees from your socialist utopia.
Food for thought, Pete.

It's really telling, and so entertaining these days, when the known trolls of DP keep making fools of themselves...and IGNORE everything I say to, and about them. Which actually does work well. Since being honest, and truthful about the Trolls like petey, and sometimes rev; actually exposes them for who they really are...in trying NOT to be what they claim...they are not.
Kinda makes for an exciting, fun filled weekend for me. Watching as they self-destruct through their miserable existence as trolls for life.
