UPDATED 6:45 AM PT — Fri. April 6, 2018China is coming out against the Taiwan Travel Act, which was just signed by President Trump last month.
The legislation is meant to increase (http://www.oann.com/china-speaks-out-against-recently-signed-taiwan-travel-act/#) communication between the U.S. and Taiwan by encouraging visits by top government officials, but has added tension between the U.S. and China.
The Chinese government sees the law as a threat to their effort to retake Taiwan after the disputed territory broke away from China in 1950.
“We are firmly against any official or military ties between United States and Taiwan,” stated Cui Tiankai, Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. “We are firmly against any more arms sale (http://www.oann.com/china-speaks-out-against-recently-signed-taiwan-travel-act/#) from the United States to Taiwan…we are watching the situation very closely and will take actions accordingly.”
However in Washington, the law was passed unanimously in a rare show of bipartisan support.

This is another one of those Chinese jokes like North Korea. Joke's on us as well. Chiang Kai Shek HAD all of China and his corruption and ineptness allowed Mao Tse Tung to run his ass right off the mainland. We of course support Taiwan because China is communist .
Besides being a pain in China's ass, what are we getting out of this?
