You Foolishly Once Thought You Had It Bad
When tons of dooming nights fall on your head
hot embers burn fires unabated.
You remember her loss, wish you were dead
and in that sad moment feel castrated.
From the heavens, a voice booms out dire threats
about losses and breakfasts with no eggs.
Fumbling about, looking to hedge your bets
you drink your last coffee down to burnt dregs.
Waking to you find, dawn's hard hammer hits
and last night burns remind you of this life.
You stumble forth, looking up from Hell's pits
recalling why you now have lost your wife.
Your clock mouths off vulgar curses at you
the house commands that you leave very soon.
You recall this ancient, wicked dream too
as night falls with its accursed bright moon.
You dream, hungry tiger eats your new boots
your house is perched atop two joining trees.
Hunter fires, not the tiger he shoots
your second wife cuts you off at the knees.

An Angel, Fairy Or Nymph Now In Human Form
(Part One)
Her exhilarating breath so quickened my heart,
her poise, I stood transfixed in overwhelming awe.
Gasping for air, as one does when lovers depart
begging that, "dear lover please return to me call".
Her Hellenic face, Shelly would have stood agape
her voice, Eliot would have simply called divine.
From her warmth and sincere charms, exists no escape
an angel, no less than a Byron would opine!
Was she a fairy, of Faust and the Niblong's Ring
born of dew, Nature's anticipating harvest?
Creature in human form devoid its silver wings?
Angel coming to give, we lost stragglers a rest?
Had she escaped from sunset's magnificent views
a savior tasked to this dark, gloomy earth now heal
Angel or saint earthbound walking in human shoes
would time and fate, her great mysteries soon reveal?

When Love And Dark Unite, A Shiny Tangled Web Catches Prey
There were hidden tentacles of hate in her heart
That her coils had not consumed me, I gave thanks
My soul nearly erupted, my mind suddenly went blank
Her touch was exciting, but frightening from the start.
She would serve me a great gulp of her poisonous brew
My hunger and thirst exploded, but I begged for more
There, in dark tides, my limp body washed ashore,
I was another roasted carcass for her blackened stew.
Waves washed beads of sand over me, around and about
I woke to see a smiling sky, laughing at my sad demise
I was but a damn fool, allowing her to have me as her prize
She kissed with thorny lips, smelled me with a bearded snout.
I lay waiting for dawn to tell me it was but a bad dream
Its gleaming rays would invade my brain and make it clear
My heart and soul were enslaved. I wallowed in woeful fear
She always dragged me in, convincing me we were a team.
I sensed night coming forth and dreaded the moon beams
This time her thorns pierced my lips, blinding me with lust
The temptation was too riveting. My body she had trussed
Her fingers soothed then strangled 'til I heard my own screams
Another bitter potion she'd concocted and lured me to drink
My breath came in short gasps as she searched my glazed eyes
Night hawks called, so I thought, but the trills were my own cries
I prayed to wake, but I swam in her dark waters, blacker than ink
Disgusted with my weakness. What kind of man had I become?
Tortured for want of the one who held hate within her heart
These thoughts meandered through my mind, tearing me apart
I must be strong to turn away and never more to her succumb
Another sunrise found me, my back flayed upon the beach
Rays of dawn warmed me before a salty wave slapped my face
I could not move, or would not move. In shame I was a disgrace
I walked into the ocean. In death I'd be out of her tentacled reach.

My first poem written in the new Constanza poetry form.--Tyr
Behind Dark Granite Walls
Behind dark granite walls, her heart
Slashed weeping deep and crisply burned
Grim reward for true love once spurned.
Her grim past loves, a horror chart
Nightmarish dreams and weeping woes
Ill the wind, that dark romance grows.
Therein rests, wisdom to impart
Cautions of lust and blinded love
Ere hard falling hail from above.
Seeding grains, for another start
To no longer just blindly grope
For within each crop awaits hope.
Or sad fodder for poet's art
Poet's pen, words that fairly warn
Close the red doors on winter's barn.
Behind dark granite walls, her heart
Her grim past loves, a horror chart
Therein rests, wisdom to impart
Seeding grains, for another start
Or sad fodder for poet's art.

New collaboration- First half being offered to another talented poetess.
Yes, The Wicked Monster Was An Abusive Man
She now lost, cried all night, heart broken and so sad
even her old wounds now ached with renewed cause
Yes, it was a true monster, powerful and bad
with its tormenting, never found time to pause!
What had she become, to be blinded by its charm
first were soft night-whispers that promised love's all
There were massive red flags trying to give alarm
having found her dreamed prince, she refused the call!
Now wrapped within monster coils hideous and deep
she prayed for a savior to give release soon
Alas! It tormented even in her deepest sleep
waking her in wet blood of its dark, red moon!
Walking in human form, a beast among mankind
admired by this blind world as a famous man
Nothing more hideous than this beast, could one find
delight in her pain, seemed to be its true plan!
Taking her own life, had haunted her as of late
with no savior found, what could she ever do
She could take no more of its tormenting and hate
her days, hours of aches and nights of darkest blue.
If staying awake would keep him from her bedroom,
she pledged to remain steadfast and be deprived
of shutting her eyes, or face another night of doom
Weariness won out and once more the fiend arrived
Her mind fogged from lethargy and long held fatigue
No longer did she wish to end the misery with her death
If she could think clearly to make a plan of intrigue
it would end his nocturnal visits and take his last breath
While in the garden an idea blossomed in her head
A plan budded that would save her from the beast
but it required her to be in a position she would dread
one upon which the cruel villain would desire to feast
She saw a spider had built a web near the garden gate
and had captured a fly who was struggling to flee
If she were to tempt the beast as a juicy morsel of bait
alas, she could end his life and then she could break free
That night she pretended to be asleep, deep in dreams
the fluttering glow of candlelight exposed her soft flesh
Through a window she perceived shadowed moonbeams
and was at the ready to capture her nemesis and enmesh
She'd rigged a web of brambles and sharpened the thorns
and dropped it upon the head of the brute as he knelt
It screamed in anger and pain when entangled was its horns
With cunning smile, she pulled a hunting knife from her belt

What Danger, Youthful Folly Has No Fear?
Lofty mountaintop ledge, ocean waves seen below
White capping at beach approach, white as snow.
Dive right on in, water inviting and so near
What danger, youthful folly has no fear?
Trekking the wilderness, where hungry bears abide
Beware! Nonsense a brave man does not hide!
Rashness, richer manna a brave youth loves to eat
How else to embrace foolish, daring feats?
Motorcycle riding, speeding no helmet on
what of few bleeding cuts and broken bone?
Risks taken, how else can daring youth find to do
Not by being boring and old like you!
So the youth cried out, before his hasty demise
Tempting Fate too often, is most unwise!
To build far deeper courage the youth does such deeds
True wisdom given, refuses to heed!
Lofty mountaintop ledge, ocean waves seen below
White capping at beach approach, white as snow.
Dive right on in, water inviting and so near
What danger, youthful folly has no fear?

Old Note.- He drowned, trying to prove he could swim across the raging flooded river.
His uncle Raymond is my good friend at work.
New note- Many a youth has died an early death simply by taking on a foolish dare..
And too oft it had nothing to do with proving bravery.

When tons of doom filled nights fall on your head,

Recall her last breath and wish you were dead
in poem's last line, you've been castrated.
From the heavens, a voice thunders dire threats

Fumbling about, looking to hedge your bets,
you drink your cold coffee, down to burnt dregs.
On waking you find dawn's hard hammer fell.
Last night's burns are reminders of your life.
You stumble and look up from pits of Hell,
recounting the reasons you lost your wife.
Your clock chimes out vulgar curses at you
and your house bids you leave by peals at noon.
You think of the ancient, wicked dreams, too,
as night falls with its wretched lucent moon.
Dream of hungry tigers eating your boots.
Your house perched atop two adjoining trees.
A hunter fires; not a tiger he shoots.
Second wife cuts your legs off at the knees.
You dream, hungry tiger eats your new boots.
your house is perched atop two joining trees.
hunter fires, not the tiger he shoots.
your second wife cuts you off at the knees.
Metaphor amputations are savagely sever.
Your spirit cries I must flee, tiger is near.
The tiger roars with laughter, I own your pain.
The second lioness purrs with abject disdain.
Your slaughtered heart bleats faint cries out.
Memories tainted and dreams coercing a shout.
In the abyss of regret the famished tiger dines.
You struggle to cope, tree sways breaking its vines.
What of taunting lioness who does defame.
Half muted stutters quivering lips murmur blame.
Muttered niceties in deep with disgust feigned.
Tiger haunting your dreams, as king it truly reigns.
Will you take a stand your courage regained.
Will you remember the fun of days lost.
Can you bear the cost, can you bear the pain?
Be strong and take back what your past gains.
Climb up from the depth of hell's deep dark pit.
Replace dawns hammer with soft cotton mitts.
Let satisfied lioness purr and hunt the tiger.
Be happy, be proud of regaining your former swagger.

A start if its to be in rhyme but free verse would be easier and give far more leeway..
Very sad words heard, "he has lost his nerve"
forgotten who he should loyally serve.
So claimed even family and close friends
proclaiming he should now make his amends!
Had he not served all, with his very best
family loved and medals on his chest?
Now chaotic world demanded so much more
into his aching heart deep sorrows tore.

So Hold Me Tight, Whisper Your True Love Vows
Can you in good faith, our new love hold true
will you this treasure forever embrace
Without you my life would be sad and blue
I feel all pleasure would such loss erase.
So hold me tight, whisper your true love vows
And each night, lay with me to reach our dreams
Will you walk green pastures with me each day
watch blue skies dance to touch our souls
I so love you, your soft alluring way
of making our lovemaking your great goal.
So hold me tight, whisper your true love vows
And each night, lay with me to reach our dreams
As I write, your face is beauty I see
your curves serve to remind me, heat I feel
I vow, nothing separates you and me
You are my angel and our love is real.
So hold me tight, whisper your true love vows
And each night, lay with me to reach our dreams

In good faith forever love will be true
My dear you are treasure in my embrace
No sad or blue in life divides we two
We can't be erased, you can't be replaced.
I'll hold you in my arms with love it seems
Nights in your arms, we will share in our dreams
Barefoot in grass I walk with you each day
Skies are so blue I dance at your side
Your love returned in every single way
I will love you, til you are satisfied.
I'll hold you in my arms with love it seems
Nights in your arms, we still share in our dreams
Your face at peace i wonder what you write
What brings that ever slight blush to your cheek
I vow together, for us I will fight
Your my darling your love is all I seek.
I'll hold you in my arms with love it seems
Nights in your arms, we still share in our dreams

First half- written by me... -Tyr
When I Dwelt Deep Within Your Soft, Shimmering Lights
( Part One- The Heartfelt Plea )
When I dwelt deep within your soft, shimmering lights
you gave me love and all your sexual delights.
I traced your every curve to its treasured reward
now I write these loving words as a lovesick bard.
Remember those promises you and I both swore
before those wicked lies both our melded hearts tore.
Hold to treasured moments of our every embrace
do not let darkness bring forth its wanton disgrace.
With me, your love shines ever brighter each new morn.
With you not here, my life is tortured and forlorn.
Nights I pray for our love to again find its home,
you return and no longer those foreign shores roam.
As I look into our once bright starlit skies
I wonder why did you believe him and his lies.
Return to romance, let our love find deepest gold
I beg you, do so before we are both too old.
Know that Fate had joined us and that was no mistake
pray you see truth, before this heart forever breaks.
With me, your love shines ever brighter each new morn.
With you not here, my life is tortured and forlorn.

You Foolishly Once Thought You Had It Bad
When tons of doom filled nights fall on your head,
embers glow and fires burn unabated.
Recall her last breath and wish you were dead
in poem's last line, you've been castrated.
From the heavens, a voice thunders dire threats
about losses and breakfasts without eggs.

You Foolishly Once Thought You Had It Bad
When tons of doom filled nights fall upon your head,
embers glow fierce and fires burn unabated.
Recalling her last breath and wish you were dead
in poem's last line, you've been beat and castrated.
From the heavens, a voice thunders out dire threats
about losses and late breakfasts without eggs.
Fumbling about, looking to hedge your foolish bets,
you drink your cold coffee, down to bitter, burnt dregs.
On waking, you find dawn's hard hammer truly fell.
Last night's burns are reminders of your tortured life.
You stumble and look up from pits of dark raging Hell,
recounting now the true reasons you lost your wife.
Your alarm clock chimes out vulgar curses at you
and your dark house bids you leave by peals at noon.
You think of the ancient, sad wicked dreams, too,
as night falls with its huge wretched lucent moon.
Dreaming of hungry tigers eating your new boots.
Your house perched atop two tall adjoining trees.
A hunter fires; it is not a tiger that he shoots.
Second angry wife cuts your legs off at the knees.
Metaphor amputations are so savagely sever.
Your spirit cries out I must flee, tiger is near.
The tiger roars with laughter, I own all your pain.

Can you bear the cost, can you bear the pain?
Be strong and take back what your past gains.
Clean the slate and wipe away the shameful stains
Climb up from the depth of hell's deep dark pits.
Replace dawns hammer with soft cotton mitts.
Let satisfied lioness purr, hunt the raging tiger.

Part Two- (Her Loving Reply)

New collaboration with Brenda. As promised but long overdue due to my recent problems.
