Did the report offer any proof of this idea that man is a major cause of climate change? Or just the usual conclusions-without-proof that the Global Whatever hoaxsters have been handing us for the last 45 years?
This is really one of the sillier announcements I've heard lately. "Since we don't understand what causes climate change, we're going to pick one explanation, announce that no one has convinced us otherwise, and then conclude that the explanation we picked must be the right one."
I heard a report from unnamed sources that pete311 was the mystery accomplice at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, who helped the shooter move all the guns in and then took away the hard drive for his computer.
Proof? Nope. But I can find "no convincing alternative explanation" to this report. So, by the above logic, pete311 must be the guilty party.

"Many lines of evidence demonstrate that it is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century. Over the last century, there are no convincing alternative explanations supported by the extent of the observational evidence. Solar output changes and internal natural variability can only contribute marginally to the observed changes in climate over the last century, and there is no convincing evidence for natural cycles in the observational record that could explain the observed changes in climate. As if scientists who work their entire lives on this aren't aware of seasonal and local temps. You are at a preschool level on this.Hardly. The fact is, it is as I stated in my previous post. A billion dollar industry to "prove" that climate change is man-made. What is man-made is the manufacture of an issue that has been present throughout the history of the Earth -- cyclical climate change in the Earth's temperature.
Once again, Man's arrogance comes into play, assuming he matters. Using FACTUAL science alone, it refutes the junk science of "man-made global climate change". The Earth has been an ocean, a swamp, and had an Ice Age and NOT ONE MAN was present during ANY of it. Yet, the planet's climate changed without us. The simplicity of the actual geological facts boggles the mind when you look at all the people who believe the crap, to include delusional scientists who actually fall for their own hype. Minus the sheeple being sold an Edsel and the delusional, you have nothing left but salesmen making a buck off naivete.
Then there are the plain old dipshits like Al Gore. His electric bill alone will support a whole town. He assuages his guilt by purchasing "carbon credits". Well, doesn't THAT just make it all right? Al wants to hold the rest of the world to a higher standard while purchasing with human coinage a separate set of rules that in NO WAY lessen his impact on the environment. And the bridge-buyers go for it. "Al's okay. He paid his man-made money to some men to day he was". Brilliant.

It's not like Trump has changed any stance, or changed his position, whether prior to or after this report. Honestly not sure about anyone else in his admin. Point being, continually pointing this out doesn't give it any more weight.
In fact, the leading director for the (USGCR) came into the position in 2015 - prior to Trump.
Another point being - It doesn't appear that this has anything to do with the administrations in the WH - unless one wants to point out that the man in charge came about when Obama's administration was around. :)

The aforementioned shysters getting paid billions to prove it's true? There's no money in proving it isn't true, not to mention once they did, they'd be on the unemployment line.
The Trump Administration saying it holds no ice with me. He's for "fixing" Obamacare too, instead of having it declared Unconstitutional in its entirety because Constitutional or not, people want their promised freebies even if they aren't really getting any. The fact is, the scam has grown so large that proving it to be the scam it is would devastate the economy.
In the meantime, the "do-gooders" NEVER mention Asia/SE Asia/SW Asia as the world's worst polluters. We got nothing on them. Yet US citizens should suffer. Just like all the other fearmongering crap we buy. Nothing new but the name.

Where have I stated I don't believe in man-made pollution WITHIN Man's control? I am, as a matter of fact, quite against unnecessary pollution. And I say "unnecessary" because no matter WHAT exists, it impacts its environment. I'm not against minimizing it as much as possible.
At the same time, reality dictates that we are going to affect our environment. I am also well-aware $ dictates a lot of it. That doesn't excuse buying off on some quackery fix that is just one more gimmick to separate you from your dollars.
It also has little do with the topic, but a LOT to do with YOU. This id the second thread where you have placed Man above the God you think doesn't exist. Science is great at explaining Man within the limitations of Man's intellect and scope. When science attempts to explain things outside it's aforementioned purview, you get unsubstantiated opinions that most defy the very laws of science they claim to support.
We impact our environment? Sure. We're even a blip on the radar of controlling the Earth's place in the Universe? Not. And "studies", especially scientific and medical ones always support the position they looking for, but never quite seem to come up with a cure. A cure means end of the road for that gravy train.

I don't know how many times I have to spank you on your Global Warming nonsense, but whatever.
CO2, by definition, has a GWP of 1 regardless of the time period used, because it is the gas being used as the reference. CO2 remains in the climate system for a very long time: CO2 emissions cause increases in atmospheric concentrations of CO2 that will last thousands of years.
Methane (CH4) is estimated to have a GWP of 28–36 over 100 years (Learn why EPA's U.S. Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks uses a different value.). CH4 emitted today lasts about a decade on average, which is much less time than CO2. But CH4 also absorbs much more energy than CO2. The net effect of the shorter lifetime and higher energy absorption is reflected in the GWP. The CH4 GWP also accounts for some indirect effects, such as the fact that CH4 is a precursor to ozone, and ozone is itself a GHG.
Nitrous Oxide (N2O) has a GWP 265–298 times that of CO2 for a 100-year timescale. N2O emitted today remains in the atmosphere for more than 100 years, on average.
Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) are sometimes called high-GWP gases because, for a given amount of mass, they trap substantially more heat than CO2. (The GWPs for these gases can be in the thousands or tens of thousands.)

I guess we're debating semantics now on my usage of the word "impact". It's well known C02 is not by molecule the most harmful greenhouse gas. However the sheer amount of it in the atmosphere is what makes it at this time the greatest contributor to global warming. Thus my quote from the trump admin study.

It's not hard. Global warming causes climate change.

Lots to learn in life. Very complex stuff. I leave most of it to the experts as should you.
There's your primary problem, Petey.
I think for myself.
At the risk of being ironic, may I invite you to think for yourself?
Skimming moonbat forums for trolling ideas leaves you painted in a box every time you try it because you don't understand the subject matter and are just parroting what some other moonbat commented on with a copy/paste. What was the definition of insanity, again?

It's pretty arrogant to think I can be an expert in climate science, economics, mathematics, english, tax law, astrophysics, real estate, civil engineering, brain surgery, AI programming, psychology, etc etc etc. Wow you are impressive to have PhD depth in all areas of life. You don't have to rely on any external information because you know it all and can think your way through everything. Seriously incredible. Congrats! You must be a trillionare because you are a master in the stock market. btw, why did you not retire as a general in service? Didn't you know everything about military strategy and tactics? Don't tell me you had to learn anything from your superiors. Are you telling me they knew things you didn't?

Sorry... but no, don't want to play your games.
Climate change is your new name for global warming, and if it wasn't, you'd all still be calling it global warming. You changed the name for a reason. The same reason you call illegal aliens, undocumented immigrants, and homos, gay, etc. It's what you people do.
But maybe you could explain why the Antarctica ice sheet hasn't declined in the last 100 years, and is in fact growing.

Well, yes, you are very arrogant, Petey. Unjustified, I'm afraid.
You don't have to be an expert and still arrive at the correct conclusion if you're willing to study the subject at hand objectively, something you've endlessly demonstrated that you're incapable of. You have your uninformed opinion and you'll twist & distort in a desperate attempt to justify it - and when we dive in for factual backup, you're lacking every single time. It's very funny.
This is a common shortcoming of moonbats, and why they get wrecked in debates all over the internet daily. They love to do just like you do as I described above in my last post, and it never works out if there is someone halfway intelligent observing the regurgitated nonsense. It certainly doesn't fly around here.
What is the definition of insanity, again?

So right off the bat this "study" indicates "loss of ice," but yet I asked you if you could explain how the ice pack in Antarctica has grown, and you can't answer that.
That's all. How does the Antarctic ice pack grow if the planet is warming?
Or is the "study" more fake science and lying about the numbers?

Why do you keep asking me? I told you I'm not a climatologist. Use google or contact a scientist at your local college. You question is well known. You don't have some nugget of "gotcha" information.

You're not a climatologist and can't answer that question, yet you act as though you are a climatologist when it comes to pushing this global warming BS.
You just keep handing out examples of your hypocrisy and double standards like candy.
Ya next time I need to make ice again, I'll put the trays next to one of my heat vents in the house instead of in the freezer. Since it works that way according you global warming people, it should work in my house too, and I can even lie about it and say it worked.
