The liberal professor in my WWII course spent 75 minutes yesterday showing photos of bombed-out German cities. And telling us how we and the RAF purposely bombed non-military and non-industrial sites. Then she proceeds to snicker at our leaders at the time for officially condemning the Nazis for their treatment of Poland. She actually said, "Wasn't that nice"?
So she wants it both ways- condemning the Nazis was so small a thing as to be a joke, but bombing Germany was too much. I hate this kind of Monday morning quarterbacking. And of course some classmate chimes in with the point that he thinks these look like war crimes.

Sounds like she's harboring some anti-American sentiment. Have you challenged her in class yet?

And weirdly, she claims her own father flew a PT-51 (? I forget the name) in the Pacific.
No, the class and really the whole school is so overwhelming liberal. I guess I'm a coward. I wish you were there!
But when the gentleman said "war crimes", I did loudly reply, "Oh come on!!".

P-51 Mustang. Greatest fighter of WWII, that's the one that escorted our bombers from Britain over Germany thanks to the drop-tanks under their wings that gave them the range.
Nothing angers me more than lowlifes slandering the Greatest Generation for doing what had to be done. I'd be 86'd from that class in short order.

It is infuriating. My dad captured two Germans in the forest near Monte Cassino, and was awarded a Bronze Star. I have a real emotional connection to their bravery. It's like slandering them.

Abbey. Ask her what JFK's boat number was. PT-109, a Plywood Torpedo Boat. If she was talking about flying...that would have been a P-51.

The only war crimes LIBERALS know, are the ones they tried to hide from America.
For instance...yesterday....we learned that LBJ was actually a member of the KKK. One of the Democrat/Liberal titles they blame Trump on the most.

Thanks, AT. She did say P-51. My bad memory added the T.

WWII was entered into by a Democrat President (as was WWI). The decision to bomb civilian targets to destroy the enemy's ability to wage war is a fundamental tactic, and the the order was give by FDR. Meanwhile, Germany was waging war against whole civilian populations, for their race or religion. They attacked shipping indiscriminately. The "Rape of Nanking" by the Japanese was one of the worst war crimes of any century.
War is not nice, nor should it be. This antiseptic version of war today's lefties think is possible is not only delusional, but hides the horror of war; which, makes it more easy for those sitting at home to accept. If you aren't willing to play dirtier than your enemy then you will lose. The Dems have forgoten how they won two word wars and have instead given us Korea, Vietnam, the Taliban and ISIS.

Did she bother to mention the Nazi's treatment of the jews? Did she mention Auschwitz, or the gas chambers, or the crematoriums?
I'd take my little digital voice recorder, or use my phone, and record some of her anti American gas. There's usually some conservative news outlet that might be interested in it. I'd expose her.

In addition to what has been said..
.If hitler had surrendered there would not have been the bombings of Hamburg and Dresden. RAF and air corps initially tried to mimize civilian casualties. They wanted to avoid "terror bombing". But they were losing plane after plane after plane. Something like 1/3 of their planes. Imagine the morale. Because Germany would not give up. Sometimes "fight to the death" gets you..... Death.
Same with japan

She did have a whole class on the camps. I was on vacation that week, though.
PracticLly every class I take, regardless of subject, anti-Trump and other lib comments are made. Even in a class on the planets. I can't tell you how liberal northern Delaware is. Voting Republican here is like fighting the tide.
It it boggles the mind how liberals seem incapable of thinking things through.

Yep. You can fight to the death or fight to victory...guess which one is more productive....
