In Obama's America, can we really stand for what we believe-in?

I think I have to disagree a little bit - because in Obama's america - that is, an America where a liar like him can serve two terms as president - only standing for what is popular or tolerated is allowed. We cannot stand for our believes because of real threats of imprisonment, assault, or financial ruin. Is there hope?

What you do when the going is easy doesn't matter, it's what you do when the going gets tough that matters. I just read a story about one of the protesters in Charlottesville losing his job because some Internet busy-bodies identified him from pictures of the rally and then notified his employer and that will probably happen to more people over the next few days. Unfortunately that's the country we have today and yes, sometimes if you say what you believe you may pay a price for it but if you really believe something then now more than ever is the time to say it as often as possible.

That's not even close to being a tough call, no one in their right mind would blame you for putting your family first.

It can/has alway been tough to stand up for what you believe in when your view is not popular with the public, the media, the gov't or the powers that be.

Goes way past "OBAMA's America" in time and national boarders.
It's part of the Human Social condition.

however, American Ideals talk about promoting freedom of expression of all ideals but frankly we all want our own values to be predominant.
As a Christian I believe that Christian Values are not just OPINION but TRUE, therefore they should be dominant because they are the BEST for all parties. even for those that disagree with them or are hostile to faith.
Christians can truly tolerate Atheist and others. However ultimately Atheist have a desire to completely silence Christians .. as demonstrated in the U.S.S.R., China and elsewhere.
And more and more in the U.S. with some Atheist desiring more and more "sepratetion" of faith from ALL public, academic, and govt' life and some Athesit seriously beginning to question the SANITY of believers, etc..
Muslims are the same, suppression. White or other Ethnic supremacist the same. Some Naturalistic Ecologist ultimately want humanity minimized to help "the planet" above man. Christianity is the only POV that gives man earthly prominence and individual equality while also promoting the care maintenance of the each other and the earth.

These ideals and more have been hard won to western ascendance by people who've stood up for them over the centuries. The left by default wants them discarded at this point, while claiming hypocritically "freedom" and "equality". the Right too often has a blurred view of them mashed up with "national ID" or on the far spectrum "racial ID".

I didn't ask for sourcing.

If Pete had said he disagreed with all of the statements made that would have shown he at least put thought into whether the allegations were correct or incorrect. Instead he questioned the mental health of an individual who clearly expressed their experience from their world view.

As for a source to base the allegations made by Drifter .. read any of Dinesh D'Souza's books or listen to his speeches or watch one of his movies.
