Former Governor: Russians I Met With Today Want Their $500K Back for Bill Clinton’s Speech

Russian officials told former Governor Mike Huckabee they want their $500,000 back for Bill Clinton’s speech in Moscow in 2010.

FOX News reported on Clinton’s speech in Russia:

Trump White House officials now are trying to draw attention to that speech and the Clintons’ ties to Russia in a bid to counter criticism over Trump Jr.’s now-infamous meeting.

“If you want to talk about having relationships with Russia, I’d look no further than the Clintons,” Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at a briefing last week. “Bill Clinton was paid half a million dollars to give a speech to a Russian bank, personally thanked by President Putin.”

The former president indeed had received a personal call from then-Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expressing his appreciation for the speech. According to Mrs. Clinton’s ethics disclosure form filed while she was secretary of State, Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 by the Russia-based finance company Renaissance Capital for his June 29, 2010, speech in Moscow to its employees and guests attending the company’s annual conference.

Now the Russians want their money back.

Now that we've heard from CNN and the rest of the liberal media how outrageous it is for a candidate's team members or family members to meet with any Russians before or after an election, or to be willing to meet with anyone to get dirt on their opponent, I'd like to see CNN and the rest of them to tell us how unusual that has really been in history.

Is CNN implying that no Presidential candidate (or their team or family) in history has ever with a Russian before or after an election? Or accepted favors from a Russian? Or accepted dirt on their opponent? It certainly seems to me like CNN is implying to us that it has never happened before.

And yet Bill Clinton accepted a half mill from the Russian while Hillary was jockeying for position for a Presidential run, and also voted favorably for the Russians as Secretary of State. And Hillary accepted advance copies of the "secret" debate questions from Donna Brazile. And Hillary was all in favor of the dirt on Trump that Access Hollywood published right before the election. Hillary also facilitated the sale of much of America's platinum to Russia, while she was Secretary of State.

Come to think of it, how annoying could Hillary be that she did all these favors for Russia, and Russia still apparently didn't want her to be President? Maybe the just got tired of having to write half a million dollar checks to her.
