I know that a wall won't solve every immigration issue, nor will simply beefing up laws and security. But to say it won't solve issues is retarded. We've ALREADY seen a HUGE decrease coming across our borders. This is due to threats, deportations & changes. The wall would only solidify this. A wall IMO is like removing thousands of border agents and replacing them with walls and cameras.

Angela Merkel Says Border Walls Won't Solve Immigration Issues
In a jab at U.S. President Donald Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel denounced the use of border walls during her visit to Mexico City on Saturday.
Speaking on a panel discussion with Mexico President Enrique Pena Nieto, Merkel argued that building border walls disregards the root of immigration issues.
“Obviously the main reason for people leaving must be addressed on site first, which means putting up walls and cutting oneself off will not solve the problem,” Merkel said, as translated by Reuters. Improving standards of living and employment opportunities everywhere should be prioritized, she said.

Merkel is helping destroy her own country because of German guilt: We displayed xenophobia to the nth degree in 1930s and 1940s so now we have to allow all foreigners in no matter what the consequence. Hitler destroyed his own country. Now Merkel will follow suit in another, in some ways, opposite manner.
All that said, No European nation should be lecturing trump on immigration. It's almost surprising when you wake up and there isn't another Muslim terrorist incident over there.

Also, I want a wall built to curtail the flow of heroin into the country.

Merkel is living proof. After all. She's the one who is being overrun by ILLEGALS coming into Germany, and Like America...DEMANDING free housing, food, education, and even MOSQUES to provide SAFE SPACES for all of the SHARIA followers who ignore German laws.

Merkel lecturing Trump about matters of immigration is like Bill Clinton lecturing St Anthony about telling the truth.
Angela Merkel's policies have almost singlehandedly made Europe a much more dangerous place to live. No wonder her and Obama got along so well.

Rest here - https://www.yahoo.com/news/angela-merkel-says-border-walls-173816117.htmlDisagree. A wall alone isn't going to stop jack. And I don't know where YOU live, but I don't see any decrease in numbers of illegals around here. You build a wall, they'll just go over, under or around it.
I agree with Merkel but not her solution. I DO think a wall doesn't answer the underlying problem. However, I DON'T think allowing illegals to flood ina ruin our country is the answer. The answer lies in Mexico and it is THEY, not us, ignoring the issue, turning a blind eye to it.

Reread my post you dinosaur, I didn't say that a wall alone would solve everything, I said it WOULD solve issues, just as beefing up security has, as has deportations and other changes. Will a wall alone stop 100%? Of course not. But to act like it wouldn't prevent a very large share is also wrong. It's a combination of all kinds of enforcement i addition, IMO.

Attacking the business of illegal immigration at BOTH ends should be the priority, and until it is, slapping more bandaids on a gushing artery isn't going to solve shit.

Gunny. Have you heard? ILLEGAL ENTRY ACROSS THE MEXICO/USA BORDER IS DOWN 70%. Just imagine how a wall....any wall will nearly solve the entire problem.
I didn't make that up: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/melanie-arter/dhs-secretary-number-illegals-crossing-southern-border-down-almost-70

I have no problem with enforcing the immigration laws that exist. I have no problem if 100% of illegals are kept out. Wouldn't bother me a bit. I'm ALL FOR attacking the business end; which, has not been mentioned. It's big business for the coyotes who take every last dime these people have to dump them in the desert or a farm they can't get away from or a sweat shop. It's big business for the people who aren't paying minimum wages nor their share of taxes to do business with the coyotes. Currently, the fines/punishment for the latter are negligible at best. The employers can afford to take the risks.
And those people in Mexico that have nothing therefore nothing to lose, aren't going to quit coming because of a new President when even as sh*tty as the conditions are here, they're better than there. They take the cash they get paid here and send it or take it home to Mexico. They don't pay taxes so they don't support the social infrastructure they use.
Other side of the coin ... you say illegal immigration is down 70%. If that is true -- how does that figure in with a "wall" we don't have?

Such major numbers are coming directly from the states and the immigration and border folks. But you know more! LOL
Numbers are down in many areas, but like I said, a lot more than "just one" thing goes into achieving those numbers. But no need for me to explain more, and get myself schooled.

Gunny. I have NO REASON to come here and Lie to you, or anyone else. If you choose not to believe what I presented here. What will you believe?
I didn't make those numbers up. In fact. I heard the President say those exact words this morning while he was with his Cabinet in the White House.
We could just settle for EVERYBODY IS LYING and let it go at that. OR....we can finally grow up, and start checking the FACTS ourselves. THAT'S WHAT I DO.
I do not bring anything here I haven't verified, checked, and checked again.
If you don't want to believe me. Fine. I'll happily share it with others who won't insist I am lying.

I'm at Ground Zero for illegal immigration. 70% would effect our local economies drastically, and not in a good way. There's been no impact.

Merkel aside, how long before the German people have had enough?
You're right though, and it agrees with something I've been saying for years giving the lefties cause to cry. Merkel opened the door. Now it's going to take 10 times or more the effort to get rid of the plague.

They are a cancer and cancer is not easily gotten rid of my friend. Show me any modern nation that has ever rid itself of that dark curse..
No modern nation has ever rid itself of the stinking vermin once they came or were deliberately invited in.
Only a solution like Hitler tried on the Jews would suffice and no way is Germany going to repeat that.
Islam depends on its opposition once it is in a nation to subdue it, always handling it with kid gloves and appeasement--that way it never faces possibility of loss.
Unless the cancer is cut out, it will eventually destroy the host.. A fact.. -Tyr

The One, and Only reason Merkel, and the German people are in trouble with Immigration is....HER NEED TO ADHERE TO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS.
(Which, if you honestly think about it...was also the reason for the FALL OF ROME!)
