Subpoenas are out for Brennan, Rice, and Power. The last is a serious issue, as she was in diplomacy, not intelligence. The other two just have to show it wasn't political and somehow in national interest.

A leftover from yesterday that shouldn’t be missed. Thanks to Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intel Committee and the man who first raised suspicions about improper “unmasking” in March, subpoenas have been issued to three Obama-era officials. Two are natsec people — Susan Rice and John Brennan, both of whom might have had good cause to “unmask” the identities of Trump staffers (http://hotair.com/archives/2017/05/27/way-beyond-private-server-four-questions-kushners-back-channel-russia/) in the course of reviewing intelligence reports. But the third was a surprise. It’s Samantha Power, formerly the U.S. ambassador to the UN. Why would she be caught up in an “unmasking” review? She’s a diplomat, not an intelligence specialist.

What would be the reaction if the leaks are proven to come from Trump's inner staff? Or trusted associates like Kellyanne Conway or Sean Spicer?
Politics can be a really dirty game. If you cross someone, they can find ways to get back at you.

Why on earth would a new hire in a new administration want to sabotage the team he just joined?

Use your head for once.

NT......Not possible for gabby. She has been operating with a vacuum for a long time. So expecting her to be honest, or use her head is A STRETCH.

http://hotair.com/archives/2017/06/01/samantha-power-ask-american-citizens-unmasked-intelligence-reports/The question about Powers is irrelevant. Diplomats have clearances and access to classified material. Same rule applies to them as anyone else.

Seems to me, from the Hillary server and all this "leak" BS, civilian employees of the US Government feel the United States Code, which is law, doesn't apply to them. IMO, and not defending anyone, it's institutional. Hillary is what it made it so glaringly obvious it could no long get the "blind eye". Now we're doing a 180 and accusing everyone.

Seems to me if they want to start all these investigations, why not start with just one that actually addresses the root of the problem instead of a witch hunt?

Looks like there's more to come:

‘ABUSE OF POWER’Devin Nunes on Unmasking: ‘Oh, This Is Only the Beginning’

The House intel chair on why the NSA, CIA, and FBI were subpoenaed; whether Comey has obstructed the probe; and whether more Obama officials are suspected. JOHN BATCHELOR (http://www.thedailybeast.com/author/john-batchelor)

Asked why the diplomat Power was included in the list with two intelligence officials, Nunes observed: “It would be very unusual for any ambassador under any circumstances, at any level, to unmask names of American citizens, no matter where they are serving, whether it’s the UN, or in the U.K., or in Germany, or in China. I think it would be very unusual for any ambassador to request an unmasking.”

Nunes indicated a troubled landscape ahead. “So I’m not going to get into what I know at this point, but I can tell you we would not be asking this if we didn’t have probable cause that there was an abuse of power.”

Asked if former FBI director James Comey (http://www.thedailybeast.com/white-house-comey-committed-atrocities) has obstructed the investigation into the unmaskings, Nunes was blunt. “It’s unknown at this point. We will see whether or not the FBI produces the unmaskings that were done by these three individuals. If the FBI continues to not provide the information to Congress—or the NSA or CIA, for that matter—”

Nunes did not finish the thought.
