This is just another of those stories which doesn't appear to have reached the mainstream British media (.. yet ? ..).

Hopefully, if the report has any accuracy, it'll be comparable to the Chernobyl release back in 1986, which - by the time it reached us - was too weak and remained for far too short a time to pose a health risk. Nonetheless, we SHOULD be being told about this from mainstream sources (BBC, Sky News, etc).
