TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran publicly hanged seven men Wednesday in the second round of collective executions in 10 days, state media reported.

“These people were hanged on charges of rape, kidnapping and robbery,” the Web site of the state’s broadcasting company reported, quoting an unnamed prosecutor.

Rape, armed robbery and drug trafficking are among capital offenses in Iran.

And if we had these tough laws here we would be sitting a lot better off wouldn't we?? I bet they have very little crime there.

I agree we don't need to aspire to be like them... I was merely saying that it would reduce crime a lot more effective than the way we do things now. But yes there I do have to agree with medic
