Plan. Check with authorities. Execute. Laugh:

"I don't care what they want at this point," said Orrin Hatch. (http://althouse.blogspot.com/2017/02/i-dont-care-what-they-want-at-this.html)

"They" = Senate Democrats.

Senate Democrats have been failing to attend committee meetings (as a way to stop the confirmation of Trump Cabinet nominees). Hatch is the chair of the Finance Committee where every seat on the Democratic side was empty. Under the "extraordinary circumstances," Hatch allowed a vote to suspend the committee rules (http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/01/politics/republicans-vote-to-suspend-committee-rules-advance-mnuchin-price-nominations/index.html) so it can get on with the confirmation of Steve Mnuchin (as Secretary of Treasury) and Tom Price (as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services).

The rules had required there to be at least one Democratic Party committee member present for a vote to take place, but, without that rule in the way, Republicans voted unanimously to put Mnuchin and Price through to the full Senate:

"They on their own accord refused to participate in the exercise," Hatch said about the Democrats on the committee. "They have nobody to blame but themselves."

Hatch said the Senate Parliamentarian had approved of the procedural maneuver, and insisted to reporters after the exercise was a "just utilization" of the rules. "This is all approved by the Parliamentarian," he said. "I wouldn't have done it if it hadn't been."...

Hatch chuckled when confronted by questions from reporters about the little notice that the public received about Wednesday's meeting. "You were scrambling? Well, you know, that's neither here nor there," he said.

Oh gosh, you got to read the comments. I thought the posting was good, the comments are rockin'!

Althouse is a lawprof at U of W Madison. Imagine. A moderate conservative in Madison!

Anyways, for obvious reasons many of her commenters are very familiar with Wisc politics, especially all the brouhaha that went on with Walker.

Yep, looks like Kathi broke the board this time.

I'm thinking that the WIN circuits are beginning to overload.

Nice work from Hatch. Time to exclude the moonbats and take care of business.

I'm not overly thrilled with the first two weeks, but if the Democrats what to act like spoiled six year olds, they can go hungry. In the end, they will suffer...

I think Michael Goodwin makes the point:

Democrats are becoming the party of secession (http://nypost.com/2017/01/31/democrats-are-digging-their-own-grave-and-boosting-trump-at-the-same-time/)

If your read the OpEd, the next piece is about some legal problems Bill de Blasio is looking at... I hadn't heard anything about his issues. Fucker ought to send Trump a "thank you note" for keeping his problems out of the headlines...

I am sure there is a supply of spare highchairs, trays, and wooden spoons to pound.

Not sure I ever anticipated supposed adults to act like this. It is disgusting.

I think there's a residency stipulation to run for mayor of NYC...

I guess they could move, give Bill a little more pasture to graze...

Whatever, I guess I hope it works out better for her than it did for Anthony Weiner... Have you seen that movie, about his run for the office? It's like a fucking train wreck as it happens...

Yeah, that was the first I'd heard of that up-and-coming scandal. It sounds promising - I'd love to see that scumbag get hammered.

I'd be shocked if she went anywhere near a mayorship. The above-it-all algore model is much more suited to her queen-like demands.
