Wow, what a story. I don't remember it, but it must have been a huge news story. That must have been rough doing the recovery. :salute:

It completely sucked. I had a helo on scene in 14 minutes. Had Station Channel Islands Harbor out there in 20.
Navy Range boat Swiss Ladder arrived in 30. Squid boats from Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Channel Islands were directed
by me to illuminate the wreckage site.
