Well, that's where the "Exclusive" part from the Fox story comes in. The Pentagon is much more likely - especially with Trump as President - to talk to Fox news than the other news organizations.

But based on new analysis of a video showing the attack, American intelligence officials now believe this was, in fact, a suicide bomber whose small boat rammed the side of the Saudi vessel.


In the audio heard on the video, a voice narrating the attack shouts in Arabic, "Allahu akbar [God is great], death to America, death to Israel, a curse on the Jews and victory for Islam."

So, the audio provides insight as to what they thought they were attacking - an American warship.

But it seems to me that a Saudi flag would be easy to spot... but maybe one of our Navy veterans can chime in and tell us what the scoop is. My understanding is that a National Warship is always flying the country's colors, but I don't know that for sure.

I would think the terrorists can differentiate between a Saudi flag and an American flag.
