Nothing major, just some shifting perhaps, except for the introduction of Haley and a few others.

Trump to meet cabinet candidates as flurry of new names floated
New York (AFP) – President-elect Donald Trump will on Thursday meet with more candidates for top White House positions in New York, as a flurry of new names have emerged as potential cabinet picks.
One of the most unusual names floated is that of South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who according to CNN and MSNBC is under consideration for secretary of state and other posts.
Until now, US news outlets have reported that former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani was tipped for the job of top diplomat.
Media reports suggested Trump might have believed that the 72-year-old’s controversial professional ties — which include lobbying for a Venezuelan oil firm — were too much to secure senate confirmation.
Haley, the daughter of Indian immigrants, originally supported Marco Rubio for president and differed with Trump on several issues, but she eventually came round to supporting the Republican nominee.
Retired general Michael Flynn is being considered for the role of national security adviser — a position that does not require senate confirmation, NBC News reported.
Flynn is one of the few national security experts who strongly supported Trump during the campaign.
Between 2012 and 2014, the 57-year-old headed the Defense Intelligence Agency but left under a cloud because of clashes with personnel and administration officials, US media reported.
Trump is expected to spend the day at his Manhattan headquarters, where he will meet a stream of potential new hires as well former Republican secretary of state Henry Kissinger, now 93.
During the evening, Trump will have his first appointment with a foreign leader when he meets Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
– Five-year lobbying ban –
Rick Perry — former governor of oil-rich Texas and one of the contenders that Trump crushed in the Republican primary — is being considered for energy secretary, The Wall Street Journal reported.
If it turns out to be true, the appointment is likely to raise eyebrows with many recalling an embarrassing moment during the 2011 Republican primary when he struggled to remember the third government agency he wanted to eliminate.
Perry said that when he became president “there’ll be three agencies I’ll end: commerce, education…” The moderator asked if he could name the third agency. “No,” said Perry. “Oops.”
That agency was the Department of Energy.
Another finalist, according to the Journal, is Bill Hagerty for the post of US Trade Representative. Hagerty heads a private-equity investment firm and served as a senior economic development official in Tennessee.
And South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Henry McMaster is in talks for a possible job as attorney general, the state’s leading newspaper, the Post and Courier, reported.
What makes the Trump administration unique is that when members leave government “they will be banned from being a registered lobbyist for five years,” said Republican National Committee spokesman Sean Spicer.
This “goes back to Mr Trump’s goal of making sure that people aren’t using government to enrich themselves,” Spicer told reporters late Wednesday.
Visitors on Wednesday included Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Bob Corker, Congressman Tom Price, Senator Jeff Sessions and charter schools executive Eva Moskowitz, Trump spokesman Jason Miller said.

I don't see SOS specifically in there, but any position being thought of, does it matter?
Part of me can see it like seeing Ted Cruz. Finding a way to put the negativity behind them, and then using what they both have to help the party/office. But what is Romney specifically going to offer is my first question? Would he be able to reach across the aisle without screwing us?
And honestly, me 'personally', my first thought is to tell him to F off and don't give him jack shit. I haven't forgotten that quickly. His press conference and trying to basically end Trump's campaign. I just don't understand politics I guess. :dunno:

Secretary of State isn't so big on the 'reaching across the aisle' issue. However, of all the names floated, with the exception of Bolton, who might not get confirmed, Romney is the only one with some diplomatic experience no matter how limited. He was in charge of the Olympics and that does take some diplomacy.
Still, I'm perplexed if this is anything but a troll act. I was harsh on Trump, but Romney beat me by a mile!

Honestly, I truly don't know what to think of a few of these. My personal feelings are getting in the way. I guess that's why they have teams of advisors and what not. If me, I advise him to toss Romney off the top of Trump Tower. :)

Cruz has the smarts to do it, he'd study the shit out of anyplace and anybody he would have to deal with. It still is a strange float of a possible nominee. Now folks might disagree with me on Cruz, but I still think he had been more than decent to Trump-granted he thought Trump would tank eventually-but was savaged by Trump. Then came the very weird endorsement, but 'vote your conscience.' Very strange. Now this? I'm not making predictions here, but when Nikki Haley is in the mix, all bets are off for me.
None of us even mentioned that Giuliani has all but said, "Pick me!" Then, look at Christie.

Romney and Trump to discuss secretary of state position, NBC source says
Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will meet with Donald Trump this weekend to discuss the secretary of state position, a source close to the president-elect with direct knowledge of his thinking told NBC News.
In March, the former Massachusetts governor called Trump "a phony" and "a fraud" when discussing the then-candidate. Trump, who endorsed Romney in 2012, has called him a loser, adding that Romney begged for his endorsement and "would've dropped to his knees" for it. He has also said that he "choked like a dog" during his 2012 presidential campaign against President Barack Obama.
During the primaries, Romney campaigned with Ohio Gov. John Kasich in the Buckeye State. Last week after the election, however, Romney called Trump to congratulate him on his surprise win.
Others reportedly under consideration for the secretary of state position include former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. Another possibility is Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker, who told CNBC on Wednesday he's "in the mix" for the job.
Separately, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich told NBC News on Thursday he will not be in Trump's cabinet, instead choosing to focus on "strategic planning for the emerging Republican majority."
This story is developing. Please check back for further updates.

See - soon we will have enough candidates for the position that it can only be settled by a weekly elimination, after they have been put through a challenge of some sort.
The ratings will be great.

He wasn't kind to Carson, and look at how close they ended up being. This doesn't mean that everything said was Aok though, and that fences wouldn't need to be mended. I would rather see that be done with Cruz, personally. Politics is a brutal business. Picking out phrases like you did... look at the amount of phrases that were stated against or about Trump - and he's going to be the next president - so obviously we can get past these things.

Actually considering they all showed up to meet, I'd say the above is rhetorical?
What was wrong in this campaign was the stuff regarding wives, fathers, and such. Attacking the candidates is expected, the families? Not so much.

Listening to Kellyanne Conway on O'Reilly. She said basically that, 'Not everyone meeting will be in cabinet or a high adviser. Mr. Romney has a wide range of experience. Obviously while he ran for President last time and did not win, there were many things he said that turned out to be prescient. Really makes me wonder if Trump is at least reflecting on all he has intimated regarding Russia?
Sometimes I wonder if political foes understand when the battle is over, it's just a game.
How many people who voted for trump where aware of this game? and when will the jig be up that attacking 'the establishment' was the key cornerstone of the game?

And then other threads he is or will be attacked for the folks he hires that have little to no experience in politics.

Romney, Cruz, the lard-ass from NJ --that is NOT change. That's picking from the same old junkpile of sh*t that didn't work. I know y'all "winner" have been having your little tee-hee party, but it's built on a foundation of sand. Trump is NOT popular and anyone using that as a premise needs to clue in.
He's in office more as a referendum against Hillary and people being sick and tired of the SOS than because of who he is. If he screws this up, the Dems will be running on "See? I old you ..." in 20 and we'll never get them out again. Worse, he's got to get those old buzzards clinging to their pensions in Congress on board and they have the same mentality as the "vote for Johnson/stay home" crowd. They'd rather lose than agree with Trump.
He's got no room for error.

I highly doubt that Mittens or Cruz will end up on the cabinet... most of this stuff is hysterical speculation by the press.
Cruz isn't part of the 'establishment' anyway... he fought tooth and nail against the establishment. Romney, for sure. I actually kind of suspect a trolling expedition - yeah, we were considering you but since you were a douche, we changed our mind. Go home, Mittens, you're dismissed.

No one cares that Flynn was fired by Obama because of misuse of classified information? One, he got punished.
Two, it'll probably matter when an indictment on Hillary comes down. On a scale of disclosing classified info, her violation FAR outweighs his. His is a known quantity and contained. Hers, to this day, is both unknown and probably contained on half the desks of foreign diplomats world-wide.
As far as the Gunny in me is concerned, both should be punished by law, and neither eligible to hold public office.
The rest of me says if she's not going to be, why should he? And if he gets a pardon, he should as well. Otherwise, this is a backfire accusation for the left as it puts a spotlight on the administration's double-standards. Again.
