Like Shadows In My Tired Mind
Like shadows in my tired mind
you danced in wisps of cool breeze.
Your deep treasure I did find
yet you left me with such ease.
I had found thorns on your rose
holes in your dancing shoes.
Large cuts on your pretty toes
dark truth in your bad news.
Like shadows in my tired mind
you danced in wisps of cool breeze.
Your deep treasure I did find
yet you left me with such ease.
Such ease, heart finally shattered.
To you- had it ever mattered?

New poem for collaboration with Aqua Marine, using my newly created sonnet form, Lin 678
When Courage Faithfully Flies
Where man's soul and brave heart meets
hope sends great power there to save
Life from death that often cheats
the weak that could be so brave
When faith filled prayer saves man
truth comes forth and regains
Happiness- life and love plans
absent the dirty stains
Where man's soul and brave heart meets
hope sends great power there to save
Life from death that often cheats
the weak that could be so brave
Look to heaven for its power
Man knows not his last day or hour

My Poetic Quote
The world now teeming with so many eager and dedicated poets, how shall one stand apart?
Answer is simple, by honoring thy muse and never betraying thy true soul and giving heart.

*** *** ***
Your loyal words of faith fly
To heart that death so often cheats
With loss that makes her soul sigh
In painful hopeless heartbeats
Could the weak again be brave
When faith does not remain?
Heaven's truth descends to save
And cleanse sin's darkened stain.
Your loyal words of faith fly
To heart that life so often cheats
With loss that makes her soul sigh
In painful hopeless heartbeats
Heart now so brave finds new power
New hope gives courage in this hour.

That Silent Storm, No Mortal Man Can Stop
Like a great storm crushing out a desperate sigh
such is unstoppable force when death draws nigh.
In myriad forms that dark angel tramps this world
oblivious to sad pleas mankind may hurl.
Death slays even the strong young or very weak old
stopped not by vows, gems or great hordes of King's gold.
That great sickle cuts anything known to mankind
no hiding place can mortal man ever find.
When that dearest life has flown by, old and quite gray
expect a visit night or sunny bright day.
Death cares not man nor beauty of songbirds on wing
seeking naught but final death of everything.
In your human soul, hold dear this treasure of life.
For this world is dark-old and full of deadly strife.
