(NNC) - When CNN and YouTube decided to pair up and merge the mediums of television and internet, neither companies quite expected to get all the baggage that comes with user-submitted, online-oriented content. This time, that baggage came in the form of a hidden online secret image, lovingly labeled “GOATSE,” based on the original website “goatse.cx.”

“GOATSE” refers to an image that began circulating the internet and infiltrating innocent users’ internet explorer windows as early as January 2000. But what makes this image so unique is its inherently offensive nature - portraying a man distending his anal lining with his two hands while providing a very clear image of his erect penis.

And despite an extensive screening and thorough analyzation of the videos submitted on behalf of YouTube and CNN alike, the image still made it under the radar and into tonight’s debate.

The incident in question came during a question about our nation’s healthcare system. The user who submitted the video was speaking innocuously into the camera when the image of “goatse” was flashed for the briefest moment in 1/24th of a second, ranging just above the framerate treshhold with which television broadcasts.

Goatse in top-right corner…

Though the image flashed only briefly, both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were seen wincing at the image. Whether or not it was recognized remains unknown.

As of this time, it is unclear as to how many Americans witnessed the outrage, but there are reports of as many as 200,000 phone calls made to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) reporting the obscenity.

CNN has yet to make an official statement regarding the matter, but a top spokesman was reportedly overheard denouncing the incident as “despicable.”

*I'm trying to determine if this is in fact a hoax. We're planning on re-broadcasting the debate in the near future and I've already informed the producers about this so they can look out for it. If it's there, it needs to be removed. Do any of you know if this is credible?

*Warning: Oh yeah, "goatse" is very offensive. Don't google it unless you want to see the picture in question. Really everything you need to know is in the text I posted.

Oh give me a fuckin' break!

Isn't it obvious that "goatse" is a Republifascist?

After all, its a fact that there are more perverts and sex criminals on the right than there are on the left.

Here are some examples:

http://www.armchairsubversive.org/

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, both already under siege for other matters, are now being accused of failing to prosecute officers of the Texas Youth Commission after a Texas Ranger investigation documented that guards and administrators were sexually abusing the institution's teenage boy inmates.

Among the charges in the Texas Ranger report were that administrators would rouse boys from their sleep for the purpose of conducting all-night sex parties.

RESIGNED. MATTHEW GLAVIN, 47, president of the conservative Southeastern Legal Foundation, which is seeking to have President Clinton disbarred in Arkansas; after being charged with public indecency for allegedly fondling himself and an undercover park ranger in May in Georgia's Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area; in Atlanta. Glavin, who has fought against affirmative-action policies and same-sex benefits, denies the charges.

There are, of course, countless more republifascist sex criminals.
It seems that the "conservative" mindset breeds perverts.

Sex Scandals and Double Standards
Two parties, two pages, two different outcomes.
by Charles Krauthammer
10/16/2006, Volume 012, Issue 05

IN 1983, REPRESENTATIVE GERRY Studds, Democrat of Massachusetts, admitted to having sex with a 17-year-old male page. He was censured by the House of Representatives. During the vote, which he was compelled by House rules to be present for, Studds turned his back on the House to show his contempt for his colleagues' reprimand. He was not expelled from the Democratic Caucus. In fact, he was his party's nominee in the next election in his district--and the next five after that--winning reelection each time. He remained in the bosom of the Democratic Caucus in the House for the next 13 years.

In 2006, Republican congressman Mark Foley was found to have been engaged in lurid sexual Internet correspondence with a 16-year-old House page. There is no evidence yet of his ever laying a hand on anyone, let alone having sex with a page. When discovered, he immediately resigned. Had he not, says Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert, "I would have demanded his expulsion." Not only is Foley gone, but half the Republican House leadership has been tarred. Hastert himself came within an inch of political extinction.

Am I missing something? There seems to be an odd difference in the disposition of the two cases. By any measure, what Studds did was worse. By any measure, his treatment was infinitely more lenient.

Moreover, in the case of Studds, I do not recall demands for investigations of the Democratic leadership about what they knew about Studds and when they knew it. Yet Hastert is pilloried
for having not done something about Foley.

The usual explanation is that Republicans deserve extra scrutiny and punishment because of hypocrisy. They campaign ostentatiously for family values while undermining them in private. Foley, for example, was a founder and co-chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children.

True. Hypocrisy it is. And hypocrisy is certainly a vice. But is it a capital offense? Was Studds's perverse defiance about having sex with a 17-year-old page--as dramatized by his turning his back on the House during the censure vote--a virtue?

The other charge that seeks to generalize the crime is to cite the Foley affair as an example of the arrogance of power. I don't get this one either. There is arrogance in dealing with lobbyists like Jack Abramoff; in shamelessly trading earmarks in the dead of night; in holding up voting on the floor of the House (in violation of House rules) in order to turn the vote of a recalcitrant member. That's abuse of power. But Foley's actions were no more an example of arrogance of power than was the drunken Wilbur Mills watching his paramour, the stripper Fanne Foxe, jump into the Tidal Basin. Call it dalliance or deviance. It has nothing to do with arrogance.

As for the alleged arrogance of the House leadership, what was Hastert supposed to have done? Contrary to the impression given in initial press reports, in 2005 Hastert did not see the damning instant message traffic that brought Foley down. What he saw were emails that were not sexual or lurid, but merely inappropriately friendly.

ABC Ignored Teen-Sex Scandal of Democrat Mel Reynolds Until 1995 Conviction
By Tim Graham | October 5, 2006 - 13:26 ET
Congressman Mel Reynolds, the Democrat convicted of 12 charges, including sex with 16-year-old Beverly Heard and asking her to take pornographic photographs of a 15-year old, was indicted on August 21, 1994. ABC, the current scourge of congressional teen-sex scandals, reported nothing – until Reynolds was convicted a year later, on August 23, 1995. In fact, on May 13, 1994, ABC featured Reynolds in a "Person of the Week" speaking out in favor of two Chicago ladies fighting child molesters:

Peter Jennings: " Their local congressman is certainly on their side. He also wants to make child molesting a federal offense."

Rep. Mel Reynolds (D), Illinois: "These ladies really illustrate how being active in your community can really make a difference."

Jennings: " If the law is to change, it will need the support of many more state legislators, which means more mothers will have to get involved."

ABC’s World News Tonight story on Reynolds being convicted on August 23, 1995, didn’t have any fury about how Democrats could allow this sexual predator in their caucus. For their part, ABC seemed more suffused with sadness than outrage:

Diane Sawyer, substitute anchor: "In Chicago, Congressman Mel Reynolds remains free on his own recognizance after his conviction last night of having sex with a minor. His lawyers say they'll appeal. In the meantime, the Illinois Democrat will continue to pick up a paycheck, as ABC's Ron Claiborne reports."

Ron Claiborne: "In the end, it was Mel Reynolds' own words that led to his conviction on charges of having sex with a 16-year-old girl. Jurors said the most powerful evidence against him was police tape recordings of his intimate phone conversations with Beverly Heard, now 19."

Jeslyn Cipriani, Juror: "It was the tapes, the transcripts that we heard, Mel and Beverly talking."

Claiborne: "At one point on the tapes, which were made with Heard's cooperation, she and Reynolds discussed what underwear he prefers. He also uses explicit language as he talks about having sex with her and with himself. On the stand, Reynolds denied ever having sex with Heard. He insisted their conversations were only phone sex fantasies. But the jury convicted him of all 12 felony counts, including sexual abuse and sexual assault. He was also found guilty of soliciting child pornography for asking Heard for a nude photo of a 15-year-old girl; and of obstruction of justice, for trying to get Heard to recant her accusations.

"The convictions likely end Reynolds' promising political career. He had risen from a childhood of poverty in rural Mississippi to Harvard, Oxford Rhodes scholar and to Congress."

Gary LaPaille, Illinois Democratic Chairman: "He was amassing a lot of friends. He was amassing a good political operation. And he was standing out above the crowd."

Claiborne: "Reynolds now faces a minimum mandatory four-year prison sentence. But the felony convictions do not mean he must give up his House seat."

Dan White, Illinois Election Board: "Only on a vote of Congress could he be expelled. And that takes a two-thirds vote of Congress to do so."

Claiborne: "Expulsion from the House is rare. Michael Myers of Pennsylvania, who was convicted of taking bribes in the 1980 Abscam investigation, is the only congressman to be removed from office since the Civil War. Today, House Speaker Gingrich said he would not press for a vote to expel Reynolds.

Rep. Newt Gingrich, Speaker of the House: "He hasn't even been-- he hasn't even been sentenced yet. So I think we have to wait and see."

Claiborne: "Traditionally, Congress members convicted of serious crimes do resign. But Reynolds, who is said to be $150,000 in debt and broke, may try to hang onto his seat and the $133,000 a year salary that goes with it. Ron Claiborne, ABC News, Chicago."

Do you sense that the political atmosphere surrounding Reynolds (including the puzzling wait-and-see Gingrich) was a little different back then? ABC had no mention of Mel Reynolds when Bill Clinton pardoned him in 2001.

Democrats Hypocrites on Sex Scandals

While they react with fury over the scandal involving former Rep. Mark Foley, Democrats maintain a discreet silence over the numerous sex scandals that have rocked their own party.

And unlike Republican scandals like Foley's, where shame and resignation were the outcome, the Democrats' shameful behavior were either blithely ignored or jocularly accepted.

For example, former Chicago Democratic Congressman Mel Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud and lies to the Federal Election Commission. He also was convicted of having sex with an underage campaign volunteer. But Jesse Jackson added Reynolds to Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll.

Moreover, Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute pardon spree.

As Deroy Murdock, a columnist for Scripps Howard News Service, wrote back in 2002: "This is a first in American politics: An ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate, won clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate, then was hired by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate. His new job? ... Youth counselor."

Of course, Murdock's "president" reference was to Clinton, who admitted to inappropriate sexual behavior with White House intern Monica Lewinsky; the "clergyman" was Jackson, who also had an affair with a former Rainbow/PUSH Coalition aide.

After receiving Clinton's pardon, Reynolds became a consultant for the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition on prison reform. He was employed as the community development director of Salem Baptist Church in Chicago.

More notorious was the case of Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., In 1989, male prostitute Stephen L. Gobie admitted that Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., knew that Gobie had operated a prostitution service out of Frank's Capitol Hill apartment. Frank, an openly gay member of Congress, confirmed that he had Gobie as a roommate in his apartment. Frank said he fired Gobie when he learned that clients were visiting his apartment.

Was Frank told by the Democratic leadership to resign his seat as Foley was forced to do?

Not at all. That was 17 years ago, and he is still a member of Congress, a respected member of the Democratic minority and is slated to assume the chairmanship of a key House committee should the Democrats recapture control of the House.

Hey, I did reply to the issue.

I can't help it if a brain-dead republifascist pig-fucker decided to spread his cheeks for my boot.

You have the liberasl debate tactics down pat

1. Avoid factual arguments, they're usually against you anyway.

2. If for some obscure reason the facts actually fall your way (an extremely rare occurrence) then repeat them endlessly regardless of the reply of your conservative opponent. Remember time is limited, use this against him.

3. Get as personal and vicious as you can, maybe it will distract your opponent from his train of thought.

4. If you are unable to insult him with the usual insults such as 'racist', 'homophobe', or 'bigot', then insult someone else on his side (someone related to the subject under discussion is preferable but not required).

5. When you're losing, and you usually will be, abruptly change the subject. Again the object of this is to distract and deflect attention from your opponent's argument.

6. Talk loudly and rapidly, don't allow your opponent to get a word in. Remember the more time you consume, the less time your opponent will have.

7. Use hyperbole as an example of your opponent's argument and suggest that that is what they are suggesting.

8. Purposely misunderstand what is being said by your opponent and distort it into something you can use.

9. Make up 'facts' most people don't check them and anyway, you'll be long gone by the time the truth is known, and so will the audience.

10. Expect perfection. Focus on the slightest flaw in your opponent's argument, any kind of mistake, grammatical, spelling, contextual, anything no matter how slight is sufficient to deflect attention away from how vacuous your arguments are.

11. Act insulted. Take umbrage at the slightest contradiction and act as if it is a personal insult. This will make your personal attack seem warranted and just.

12. Mug the camera or audience while your opponent is speaking, make faces, sneering is good, head-shaking better, and looking toward the ceiling is best [notice the avoidance of the word Heaven, Liberals avoid words of a religious nature WM]. Let the audience know you disagree with your opponent (even if you’ve no idea what he’s saying)

13. Use condescending laughter as much as you can. It serves two purposes, first, it dismisses your opponent as being unworthy of your respect and second, it shows your contempt for his arguments. This is a very powerful tool and can really annoy your opponent and disrupt his train of thought.

14. You’re an arrogant Liberal; demonstrate your obvious intellectual superiority by acting in a condescending manner.

15. Forget how many of the wealthiest in this nation are Liberals, always beat the drum of “Rich Republicans” and “working class Democrats.”

16. Finally, always remember style trumps substance. Know it, Live it.

A point by point response to yer silly little cut and paste bullshit.

1 everything I've stated so far is fact. I don't lie.

2 The facts allways fall my way. If I argue it, it is most certainly fact. Get used to it.

3 Republifascists know a lot about "personal and vicious" which is why they deserve nothin less. Get over it or go away.

4 If you consider facts about the countless republifascist sex-criminals to be "insults" then why do you continue to support them?

5 I didn't change the subject, you did. I commented on the topic, goatse pictures and you changed the subject to Gery Studs, because you knew you couldn't contradict anything I was saying. When in doubt, change subjects, right? That's the republifascist way.

6 I give you more than enough rope to hang yerself with and now yer complainin' that its hard to breathe? Now yer a fuckin' comedian!

7 Hyperbole? Do you even know what that means Red? Don't C&P things you don't understand.

8 Now yer just reaching. The only distortionist here is you. I am so direct and to the point it fuckin hurts.

I would be happy to respond to the rest, but I don't really think it matters.

Eight was enough to show how full of shit you are.

I am always valid and I always make a point.

Too bad you are too brain-dead to understand.
Republifascism is a disease of the mind, and it makes those who cling to it stupid.

It might be easier to take you seriously if you could construct a readable post.

As it is, it feels like I'm talkin' to a 5th grader in special ed.

I defy you to show where I have "lied".

Its usually liars that accuse others of lying, you know.
Best examine the plank in yer own eye, special red.
