Wikileaks Provides An Update On The Assange Internet Outage
It seems that the Obama administration's efforts to save the presidential candidacy of Hillary Clinton is finally starting to yield tangible results as WikiLeaks just provided the following update that Julian Assange was cut off from using the Internet at the Ecuadorian embassy in London effective Saturday evening.

If Assange did lose Internet connectivity at the behest of Obama, then I find it sadly ironic that Obama was unwilling to do anything to interrupt Assange during the Snowden episodes when America's national security secrets were being released, but he leaps into action to prevent Hillary's and the DNC's secrets from being released. It shows us what things Obama values, and what things he doesn't.

To all here. Doesn't all of this closing the Internet sound like Obama Closing the Barn Door, after all of the COWS get out???
Most of the recently released WIKILEAKS have been read, copied, and saved on Millions of America Personal Computers, Laptops, I-phones, and even Orders to KINKO'S.
So...any attempt to CLOSE DOWN the 1st amendment between Hillary, and Wikileaks seems useless.

Both Wikileaks and the government of Ecuador confirmed that Assange's internet was cut by the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where the Wikileaks leader has lived for the last four years.
The news media in Quito reported that it was an "internal dispute" that did not affect Ecuador's decision to host Assange in London.
One can only imagine the sorts of pressures being put on Ecuador - politically, financially etc- by state and corporate actors. Here's hoping they haven't caved.

Wikileaks: John Kerry Pressured Ecuador into Taking Julian Assange’s Internet Away
The organization Wikileaks is claiming that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry personally pressured the government of Ecuador to cut its founder Julian Assange’s internet access, preventing further publication of private emails from the account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
On Tuesday, the Wikileaks Twitter account accused Kerry of using his position as head of the State Department to demand that the leftist South American government disconnect Assange’s internet access. Assange has lived in the Ecuadorian embassy in London for the past four years. If true, Kerry’s authority to make such a request would be dubious, as the hacked emails in question are not government correspondence, but private emails by partisan political campaign officials.
According to Wikileaks, Kerry met with “Ecuador” – potentially President Rafael Correa – in September and requested they shut down Assange’s operation out of their embassy.

Wowzers. Will any Dem or Independent care? Doubt it. Let's worry instead about Trump's crude words. Maybe Bully will crawl back under his rock, though.

Well, Kerry 'could' be rewarded for his alleged activities in this one. :)

I have despised Kerry since the Swiftboat stuff, and throwing his medals over the fence.

Well apparently that's not as bad as locker room talk or insulting Megyn Kelly.

Apparently, nothing is as bad.
And how dare you call it "locker room talk"?! Women who have never set foot in a men's locker room, have decreed it is much worse than anything ever said in a men's locker room.

Ah, you know I didn't change my position over either of these actions or revelations as you will. I was anti-Trump and anti-Clinton way before these 'October surprises.'
I am discussing why I do think something needs to change. There are a few here who actually WANT Trump because they agree with him that he's just the best ever. Most however, are supporting the Republican, cause he is the nominee. I guess the question to ask is does it matter if there was 'someone other than Hillary?'
Not for one second am I arguing Kerry would ever be my preference, unless the choice was between him and Trump.

They were only copies. He 'proudly' displayed the originals in his office; Even though he
wrote himself up for them.

I have to say I'm glad to see so many on the right beginning to appreciate the value of "UNAUTHORIZED" "ILLEGAL" leaks of gov't documents to the public.
Leaks and whistlbowers are one VITAL way of getting to the reality of what going on in gov't. and elsewhere. If we were to wait for insiders to go through "Proper Channels" , Or for FOIA request to be honored, Or the MSM to 'report' we'll end up forming opinions and voting based on the half truths and lies that Gov't officials and party spokes people feed us.
Once the info available the question is are people going to use it only if it makes their side look good
or will they try to become more honest players as well, and not want to put up with corruption from anyone?

Actually the whole 'hack and publish' isn't right, in fact it's illegal to hack. It's a dilemma though, since it's now obvious of what the FBI/DOJ/White House/State have been doing with this one election. Seriously uncovering unethical, possibly criminal behaviors by the most important departments in government. Until the Hillary email scandal broke and Comey's decision not to recommend charges, I would have trusted the FBI, if not DOJ. No more.

It will be interesting to see how the 'right' reacts at some future point when their politicians/ civil servants/ bureaucrats etc become the focus of furture Wikileaks, because the 'left' aren't exactly showering themselves in glory with their reactions at the minute.

That obama only took definitive action when it affected Hillary-the successor he wants in office after him- shows he cares not for the Constitution or any other thing that will impede or stop the unconstitutional globalist agenda that he promotes...
Ask yourself would he have done this if Trump was the target..
As President he had no authority to use the Federal government to aid only the dem party/Hillary.
Of course he has a long history of acting illegally and thumbing his traitorous nose at the Constitution.
Anybody that denies that truth is either a damn fool, liar or imbecile IMHO.
Since he could not defeat the truth told about her , he like the socialist minded dictator that he is, chose to force a censorship on the leaks of the truth.. -TYR

With the money that Assange has at his disposal, it would be a simple matter to arrange for a wireless shot into the Embassy.
Something doesn't add up.
It's possible that the Brits have a wireless and cellular jammer running to prevent that workaround solution at the behest of Obama.

Were is the despute exactly?
From your link - Accordingly, Ecuador has exercised its sovereign right to temporarily restrict access to some of its private communications network within its Embassy in the United Kingdom.

I don't think I could ever donate money to such a group. At the same time, I also disagree with state actors getting involved in trying to alter the election - or to alter things on sovereign property. It is, isn't it?
