View Full Version : Why are we afraid of a Clinton Presidency?

Interesting take on why we should be very, very afraid.
Conservatives, Republicans, and independents around the country are panicked over the possibility of a Hillary Clinton (https://www.conservativereview.com/2016-presidential-candidates/candidates/hillary-clinton)presidency.It is inarguably true that America is in desperate need of a conservative president. Voters have waited and waited, and the havoc Trump has wreaked on the party on his path to the nomination may take a while to heal. This was not the 2016 we deserved. It is, however, the one we got.
But why is everyone so scared of a Clinton presidency? Put simply: The reason everyone is so afraid of Hillary is because Congress sucks.
With polls looking unfavorable for Donald Trump, the sense of dread at having to face four years under Hillary’s watch is compounded by the knowledge that these will be another four years of unmitigated defeat and progressive disaster. Clinton will undoubtedly consolidate more power and tip the delicately balanced scales of checks and balances ever more toward the executive branch. After all, that is what progressives do — it’s in their nature to transform institutions and centralize power.

Why are y'all afraid of a Clinton presidency? Because you've consumed every fabrication, exaggeration, prevarication and obfuscation the GOP, FOX Noise and the Alt-Right media have excreted, as if it were manna from heaven. But then their stock-in-trade is appealing to your fears, your insecurities, your prejudices. That coupled with the authoritarian bent, the fear of change, the desire for a static and unchanging environment, and the wish to be ruled...not governed, are all part and parcel of your fears of a Clinton presidency.
I do pity you if you truly see Donald J. Trump as the savior you and your fellow travelers are making him out to be.

Did Hillary Clinton break the law with her email server - did she lie to the congress, did she lie to the American people and then did she lie to the FBI? I'm just curious as to your answer on these, yes or no to all is quite fine.

We don't pity you, or the Dems, Libs, because there is no cure for Stupid, and all of you ran out of that kind of saving grace, back when LBJ was fooling you.

She follows a pattern.
CIC's I served under:
Gerald Ford....good man that wanted to heal the Nation.
Jimmy Carter...good man that had no spine to stand up to Iran and Iraq.
GHW Bush...great leader who fell short by abiding to the UN over Iraq.
Bill Clinton...good in ways but a chicken-shit draft dodger, could not do
anything after assaults but shoot missiles... harmlessly.
GWB...stood by his pledge to support and enforce our laws.
BHO...backs down on every threat in foreign policy, but injects his
own opinion on domestic strife - leaning to the criminal element and
making excuses. Good job as a 'Community Organizer' - what ever that is!

A simple black and white answer to a complex question...It's sadly typical of those enamored of authoritarian politics and world view. So to adequately answer your question I must, perforce, provide an answer other than the simplistic binary choice you are requesting.
1. Did she break the law with her e-mail server?
Not according to the director of the FBI. And not from any of the evidence presented by her GOP accusers.
2. Did she lie to Congress?
Probably not.
3. Did she lie to the American people?
I have yet to see a politician that hasn't, at some point or another, lied to the voters. Trump is probably one of the, if not the worst in terms of the scope and breadth of his prevarications.
4. Did she lie to the FBI?
Again, probably not.
Complex questions, complex issues...they do not yield to simple answers. Answers like those provided by an authoritarian populist like Trump. No matter how much you wish it otherwise, Jimmy, your predilection for simplistic answers to complex issues will yield you little more than ashes in your mouth.

If you would care to read back, I have completely refuted the "not guilty" whine you are posting about classified information
and systems.
If you would read back, more than one person has cited evidence of her crimes.
You tell me why she was close to getting sanctioned from Watergate Investigation.
You tell me why she claimed to dodge sniper fire in Kosovo, yet was filmed walking calmly along the tarmac.
You tell me why in 2007 she asked "who would you want answering the phone at 3 a.m.?" Yet she did
NOT answer it during the Benghazi attack and did not respond to requests for better security for 6 months prior.
She called it a riot over a video for days publicly.... but told her daughter it was a terrorist attack privately within 24 hours
of the event.
You need to wake up.

Wow, if I were ever on trial, I'd love to have someone as gullible or as blind as you on the jury. Did she lie to Congress? - "Probably not." Hahahahaha! Did she lie to the FBI? - "Probably not." Lolololol! Wow, I guess if you can say it, then you just expect us all to believe it. Bully, she contradicted her own previous sworn statements with later sworn statements. Therefore, she lied in at least one of the sworn statements (probably both, I'm thinking)
Did she break the law with her email server? - "Not according to the director of the FBI". While this is technically true, if you couldn't tell the Comey was dancing a political dance in order to keep his career, then you need to buy a clue. Comey's statement about not breaking the law but being "extremely careless with national security" was a thinly veiled codephrase for "she broke the law with her email server."

Why are we afraid of a Clinton Presidency?
Because she will nominate more "judges" who regard the Constitution, not as a framework we must adhere to and/or modify by the states' consent as laid out in the document, but as an obstacle in the path to the socialist government they want to impose on the rest of us.

Just my opinion, but the behavior of the media on all fronts has sort of muted criticism of other outlets. Got the Politico reporter colluding with Podesta; WaPo announcing they've assigned 20 reporters to uncovering dirt on Trump, while treating Clinton differently; little reporting on Wikileaks-until the quid pro quo...

1. Did she break the law with her e-mail server?
Not according to the director of the FBI. And not from any of the evidence presented by her GOP accusers.
ANSWER: That goes to show you just how gullible you are. The head of the FBI reports to the Attorney General who reports to the President. And let's say this, the Obama White House had no intention of prosecuting the presumptive Democratic Presidential Nominee. You assume that the FBI director came up with this conclusion objectively when, in fact, he was likely coerced by his boss, the AG to do otherwise. Just what was discussed on the tarmac between the AG and the Clintons anyway?
There is more....
Setting up an email server to store and disseminate classified information without authorization is a violation of 18 U.S. Code § 798 - Disclosure of classified information
By the FBI's own admission, Hillary Clinton acted in a careless manner when it came to handling classified information. She pleads complete ignorance of the nature of the information she mishandled. When in fact, anyone who receives a clearance is given a security briefing on how to handle classified information.
If I, or anyone else, had done the things she did, we'd be facing a grand jury at the very least. Just to prove my point, a Marine General was sentenced to hard time in prison for disclosing classified information to someone writing a book.... Why? Because the FBI is trying to regain its credibility that it lost during the Clinton email scandal. And further, why was it a punishable offense when the general did it but not a punishable offense when Hillary Clinton did the same thing?
People like Hillary Clinton will always be in power so long as they have people like you that will believe her every word and give her the benefit of the doubt.
