That should work, but place the base close to a level ground, and use
some landscaping material to seal it from the bottom so weeds and stuff do not permeate.
Use a good wood preservative, too. Pressure-treated wood is great for a frame base..

If FHB says it'll work, it'll work. Make sure wood doesn't touch the ground.
