All surgery in the VA system in this area is done there. Normally, well care is here in Okeechobee, specialty care is West Palm and surgery in Miami.

The hospital is old, but is very clean and well staffed. During mine, the Dr. found another issue that was missed and took care of it.:cool:

I had my first knee surgery done at the Long Beach CA VA Med Center.
The resident Ortho butchered it. They also F***** up the nerve block so
bad that I could not walk for a month....lots more to that story.

My second was done by an outside Ortho up in LA because I refused to go back
to that VA. I was in at 0600, on the gurney at 0615, knocked out at 0630, awake
at 1100, and walked out at 1125.

Oxy / Vicodin for post-op pain? Vicodin 250 mg did not even phase me...just
rode out the pain for 24 hours!:laugh:

Mine decided she could save some money upgrading the cable and internet. A big-ass box mysteriously appears in the living room. Then there's all the news bookshelves.

Went through this with the ex. Don't bring home 10 boxes of tile and say "Okay, re-do the bathroom". I won't do the shit. There was nothing wrong with the other stuff.

Well here's an "update" on the right paw.

Went to the VA yesterday, had the soft cast and stitches removed. The length of the "cut" was two and a half inches long.

The thing feels thick as a brick, but I can use it! :laugh:

Came out (along with the cast) yesterday.

I REALLY hate Comcast. When I want my sh*t upgraded I'll freaking ask. Stop fixing my sh*t because you decided to. Cur off my tv and internet because you feel like it? Some goof shows up here yesterday afternoon and says "Oh, I need to install this filter". Why? Everything is working just fine.
