Does the idiot in chief expect people to believe this? Hell, is this what he really believes? I've never seen books that you can't get at: school, library, Amazon...

Maybe he's thinking of his hometown, where you probably CAN get one off the streets that easily? The photo came from Facebook

Speaking at Tuesday’s Memorial for the fallen Dallas Police officers, President Obama suggested it is easier ‘to buy a Glock” than a book in many communities.

He suggested that police relations with minority communities are in tatters because “we flood communities with so many guns it is easier for a teenager to buy a Glock that [to] get his hands on a computer or even a book.” Yet we tell the police “to keep those neighborhoods in check at all costs,” he said. Obama added that we then “feign surprise when the tensions boil over.”

Obama said we all know this to be true but “we cannot even talk about these things.” He said we will not make progress until we can talk.

He is an idiot with a one-track mind on this gun issue.

A real leader would acknowledge all the various forks in the track and
look at the options of each. Not this clown.

Defending Chicago a tad. Remember back when I wrote about the pop up of 'free' libraries on people's parkways? Still going strong. On at least one list, Chicago makes it on top 20 for reading via sales of reading materials. ;) Seriously the Chicago area is pretty educated in the main.

Guns are very hard to get, at least legally. :)

I think Chicago is a great place. The criminal element is going to hit all the major areas, same as with LA and NYC. But all 3 are still great in their own right.

And the criminals likely get the guns in all 3 locations off the street, and probably pretty easily. And while many cops carry nothing more than a handgun, this is what a lot of the gang members have, a mac-10. And you'll notice the silencer, which John Q public won't be owning, but the criminals have them too. And I'm just SURE that banning guns will put a halt to the gun trade among the criminals.

Silencers as prohibited, illegal, by ATF laws. But do these punks and criminals follow the law?
I believe in enforcing our existing laws, not adding more feel-good statues.

The black market dealers in these things that work under the table should be rooted out,
tired, convicted, and sent to a Federal Penitentiary.
