If you could drive away in one piece of Military gear - something you could operate by yourself or with one other person tops, what would it be?

Initially I think - Trident Sub. But - yeah, takes more than two folks I'd guess. Plus the specialized training.

Apache helicopter? That'd be cool - but limited on-board munitions and the whole 'have to learn to be a system-administrator to fly it' thing. Hrm. Fuel might be an issue.

I think I'd pick a Bradley M3A3. Decent armor against small arms. 300 miles per tank, takes diesel. Figure 1200 rounds of 25mm, 2200 rounds of 7.62, a few TOWs, and room-enough to sleep inside.

How, exactly, does one "bug out" in a tank? The whole concept is ludicrous, since bugging out means 'on foot'. At least, that's what I thought. Along those lines, I would take a fully-loaded bug-out bag, complete with weapons, ammo, first-aid, food, and other survival gear.

I agree. At the same time, I'm taking to the hills. I'll fight on my terms, not theirs. I took bugging out as meaning heading for the hills, not leave the country. THAT will be the day. But you can kill one of the SOBs and rob HIS ammo pouches. I'm taking the bayonet too. I'm also taking a crossbow and all my knives. In survival mode you have to able to support your own weapons.
