Because it's impossible to get a fair trial.

Guess we can't have any lefties on the jury either. I question their judgement. I'm supposed to be judged by my peers, not people who would vote for a moron like Obama.

Well...'What If' the others selected were disqualified for one reason or the other?
'What If' both the defense and prosecution agreed to seating the jury and alternates?
'What If' the presiding Judge agreed with both prosecution and defense to seat them?

You've been told before that it is not racist!
Mexican and Hispanic are a culture and heritage, not a race!
Now I expect a long-winded cut and paste in italics trying to refute what
I just said.

I read a good story about flaws in the jury sister right after the Freddie Gray incident happened. It was written by a black attorney, calling out the more militant members of his community.
He discussed a case he worked on where a young black male was being tried for armed robbery and a few other charges. The perp was tried and convicted by an all-white jury.
The original jury pool was large and quite diverse. Because the case was expected to be long and involved, many potential jurors asked (or begged) to be excused. By the time jury selection began, only a couple of blacks remained. They were not chosen, leaving a panel of older white folks.
The attorney's primary point was this: If blacks are so concerned about white juries, why do they try so hard to evade serving on one?

Why is the default knee jerk making it about skin color? I don't give a damned what color you are. I want someone with a brain and I don't give a damn if they're Martians. All we do is cry racism or gender identity anymore the second we don't like the answer. I'd put a white armed robber in jail as quick as I would a black one.
Excuses. All it is.

Both are dumb, stereotyping, bigoted statements?

When you are clearly guilty, that is all you have left. That is why you see the privileged and powerful getting off with light or suspended sentences for the same offenses that send the powerless to jail.
Money can buy justice.

Yep! O.J. Simpson sure got away with it!
The jury:
The defense and prosecution alike learned even before jury selection began that African-Americans and whites viewed the case very differently, and both tried to choose a jury they believed would be predisposed to siding with them.
Here are 12 facts uncovered about the jury:
1. Of the 24 jurors and alternates, 15 were African-American, six were white, and three were Hispanic — “in a county, that is just 11 percent black.” This partly reflected the defense’s attempt to seat a largely African-American jury, because of research that revealed very early on that black and white people perceived the case much differently.
2. Over the trial, 10 jurors were replaced by alternates — but no alternates were ever removed.
3. All 12 of the jurors who ultimately decided the case were Democrats.
4. Two of them graduated college.
5. None read a newspaper regularly.
6. Nine rented homes; three owned.
7. Two had supervisory managerial duties at work.
8. Eight watched TV tabloid shows like “Hard Copy.” (Defense research found that people who liked tabloids were more likely to think Simpson was innocent.)
9. Five said they or a family member had “endured a negative experience with law enforcement.”
10. Five thought it was acceptable to use force on a family member.
11. “Nine — three quarters of the jury — thought O.J. Simpson was less likely to have murdered his wife because he had excelled at football,” Toobin wrote.
12. The prosecutors didn’t exercise all of the peremptory challenges available to them to strike potential panelists.
