How's your Mom doing today, Tyr-Ziu Saxnot?

She is some better. They will do hip surgery Tuesday morn at 6 am. Put her under with a local block.
Heart surgery postponed until later, time to be determined upon when she has gained greater strength to endure the surgery.
She was pretty out of it by the time I got there today, but managed to recognize me, although my wife Riza , she thought was my new girlfriend! :laugh:
I am much relieved that she has improved this much but we are cautioned against becoming too optimistic.

We are right in the midst of selling his house and moving into our new home in another state ..
So I am stressed a bit..-Tyr

It is very stressful Tyr.

I took my Mom in for an aortic valve replacement that was done
on the day she turned 87.

I knew she would be out of it for 24-36 hours after the procedure,
so before they took her in for prep, I gave her a teddy bear so she
would know I was there when it was over.

Simply nothing any of us can do now.
All is in the hands of the doctors and God...
Myself and my new "girlfriend"(my wife) are busy packing for the move..
Of course I took my break to check on my friends and pm's here..;)
Something about packing to move just wears me out....kinda like shopping with the wife does. --Tyr

THANKS for the prayers my FRIENDS.
I have now resigned myself to the fact that its left in Gods hands.
She is 88 years old and I'd sign right now to get 26 more years to make 88, if such was possible.
Still when its your mom , you do not want to let go...
After the hip surgery Tuesday, comes the bigger one, heart surgery.
That is the one that scares me...

UPDATE- MOTHER'S HIP SURGERY WENT VERY WELL.
NEXT WILL COME THE VERY ,VERY , VERY SERIOUS HEART SURGERY.
These last five days have aged me another 5 years it seems..
Nothing will be settled until after the heart surgery and now we haven't a clue when that will be scheduled.
As it all depends entirely on when she is well enough to chance it.

It takes awhile to heal from hip surgery. And the older you get ... you're looking at probably a year. Just try and not stress yourself out. I went through this when my wife had back surgery. I was nuts half the time. Working 10 hour days then taking care of an adult baby at night. Take it it one day at a time, bubba. It'll work out.
